Agent of Celtic star confirms sale is on the cards amid AC Milan interest

By Isak Möller -

Following the departure of Zvone Boban, things are bound to change at AC Milan in the summer. In addition to the Croatian director, Paolo Maldini could also decide to depart, leaving CEO Ivan Gazidis in charge of everything.

First and foremost, we can expect to see some movement on the transfer market. Yesterday, Calciomercato.com reported that the Rossoneri are interested in Celtic star Kristoffer Ajer, who will turn 22 in April.

The Norweigan international would replace Mateo Musacchio, who is bound to leave after losing his spot in the starting eleven to Simon Kjaer. The season has certainly been a disappointing one for the Argentine, who now will be looking for playing time.

In an interview with NTB (Norweigan News Agency), as cited by ABCNyheter.no, Ajer’s agent Tore Pedersen confirmed that a sale will be on the cards in the summer. He also stated that several clubs are interested in his client.

“He won’t extend his contracts with Celtic and will be sold in the summer. There are several clubs interested, although I can’t name them. Many have followed him over a longer period,” he stated.
