Agent of CSKA Moscow star implies he offered his client to Milan but situation is ‘difficult’

By Oliver Fisher -

Nikola Vlasic’s agent has confirmed that he offered his client to AC Milan, but he cannot say whether he will leave CSKA Moscow at the moment.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke on Sky’s Calciomercato L’Originale broadcast (via MilanNews) last night, and confirmed recent indiscretions from other sources by reporting that Milan have not given up on Vlasic.

Milan do not deny that they are on the trail of the player as per the journalist, but at the moment there are no decisive steps forward to sign him from CSKA Moscow, but then Russia-based Sports Correspondent Danny Armstrong claimed the Russian side are ready to allow Vlašić to leave on a paid for €10m with an obligation to buy set at around €20m.

He even added that a deal will be concluded in next few days, according to his sources. Now, Tonchi Martic – Vlasic’s agent – has spoken to LigaTV about the future of his client and the rumours that a move to Italy is something that could become a reality for him in this summer window.

“I offered Vlašić to all the main Italian clubs, including Napoli. What is the probability that he will leave CSKA Moscow? Difficult to talk about at this moment,” he said (via MilanNews).

  1. Vlasic is a great choice, but isn’t Sabitzer closer to 20m (10m cheaper)? and also why not look at Castrovilli as well? Seems we’re too obsessed with Vlasic and Ziyech when they’re the hardest deals.

    1. Sabitzer wants to go to Bayern. Bayern is interested to buy him. Castovili is Italian so FIorentina would make us overpay also Castrovili isn’t as good as Ziyech.Vlasic is the most probable option.

      1. I believe that when you buy peanuts you get monkeys.
That being said with no disrespect, Milan should buy skilled quality to help them in UCL and Seria A
I f not then give the season up!

  2. We’re going to play in UCL this season, so why can’t we buy a single top player in order to avoid being humiliating at the group stage. pls. let the managements look into this serious stuation an save our long apsents with a good playmaker like vlasic or someone else,

    1. Because it’s not that simple. UCL doesn’t mean all the sudden Milan are flush with cash. Plus Milan have already spent like 60-70 million. So no Milan can’t just buy a top player.

      1. absolutely and even more so in these pandemic times. I cant really fathom why people cant understand that and people just need to take a look at a club like barcelona and ask themselves if they doesnt have the cash to keep a legendary player like messi that they otherwise wouldnt even consider selling ends up leaving them on a fee transfer why would milan then be able to throw cash around as they please. Yeah i get la liga has some rules in regard of salaries compared to expenditure but nevertheless they are strapped for cash but things hasnt really improved in these times and that club has a far bettter income than us due to the commercial income in la liga. Add to the price money for winning serie a is to my knowledge not much better than getting promotion to the premier league so financially speaking serie a seems comparable a third world country.

Finally i believe it was either leipzig or salzburg who had never bought a player above 20 mil up untill recently and those teams has been competitive in recent years so it atleast proves that teams can become fairly successfull with small means if the project is right so i doesnt really see why we should lose faith in what is being done after a fantastic 2020 year and a 2nd place this year.
