Agent of Everton: “There is contact with Milan, who are one of the best clubs in the world”

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of Gremio starlet Everton has confirmed contact with AC Milan over a possible summer move, praising the club’s project.

The 23-year-old winger has been linked with a move to the Rossoneri in recent weeks, and himself admitted to being flattered by rumours of interest from Milan.

The Brazilian has a release clause in his contract worth €80million, but it is believed that Gremio value him at around €40m.

Leonardo is expected to try and close the deal as soon as possible in a similar fashion to the signing of Lucas Paqueta, and the recent comments from agent and European intermediary Marcelo Serafini affirm this.

“Since last year, we have had contact with several clubs and there is the possibility of beginning real negotiations with some of them,” Serafini told PianetaMilan.it.

“Clearly, Milan are one of the best clubs in the world and have ambitious projects. There has been some contact with Milan and I think Leonardo represents an important figure.

“It’s difficult to say whether Everton could be in Europe next season, but it’s possible. We couldn’t guess at a price-tag right now either.”

Everton has netted 32 goals in 134 competitive games for Gremio.
