The agent of Mattia Liberali has commented on the growth of the playmaker, and what AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca thinks of him.
Liberali generated plenty of excitement with his performances during the preseason tour of the USA, but since that he has returned to working with Milan Futuro and even with the Primavera side for certain games.
The belief after the matches out in the United States was that he might be a good fit for Fonseca’s style of play, which is built around dominating games with possession and also the inclusion of a pure attacking midfielder who can create and supply the other forwards.
Nonetheless, the plan for Liberali is very much like the one for Francesco Camarda: a patient approach, taking the right incremental steps and ensuring nothing is done to jeopardise the path.
Stefano Antonelli – the agent of Liberali among others – gave an interview to TuttoMercatoWeb in which he also spoke about his client’s development with the Primavera, Milan Futuro and the first team.
“I have several clients who wear the red and black jersey: there are D’Alessio, Magni, Mancioppi and Liberali. There is a lot of talk about Mattia because he is an incredible talent, who has already sent important signals,” he said (via MilanPress).
“He is growing with the right methodology, the club are understanding how to best manage the energies because these guys clearly do a bit with the first team, a bit with the second team and a bit with the Youth League with the Primavera.
“Sooner or later there will be more clarity and more significant solutions. The guys are esteemed above all by Fonseca, but patience is needed.”
Maybe we should hire him as scout instead 🤔. He has what I think are the best two players (Magni and Liberali) in our setup outside of Camarda ofc.
