The agent of Diogo Dalot has confirmed that his client is happy at AC Milan but refused to give much away about his future.
Towards the end of the summer transfer window, Milan brought in Diogo Dalot on a one-year loan from Man Utd. They had been working hard to include a buy-out option, but eventually settled for a dry loan to secure the deal.
The Portuguese youngster has made a good amount of appearances for the Rossoneri this season, with 18 of them between Serie A, Coppa Italia and Europa League. However, he has mostly played on the left-hand side of the defence.
It would be fair to describe Dalot’s season as an inconsistent one as he has alternated encouraging performances with ones where he has struggled defensively. The Lusitanian had a great performance and scored a splendid goal during yesterday’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona.
Carlos Gonçalves, his agent, spoke to Calciomercato.it on the possibility of his stay.
“Yesterday Diogo was very happy with the game and the goal, we spoke immediately after the match. He is very happy here, Milan is a club rich in history and tradition, they have a great desire to win and there are players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic,” he said.
“He is also happy to live in Milan and has an excellent relationship with all his team-mates. We will talk to the club about the future at the right time, now the player is focused on the pitch, and returning to Manchester on Thursday will be very special for him.”
