In the last few days, Samu Castillejo has been linked with a move to La Liga side Getafe, with Milan keen on offloading him this summer. However, the winger won’t be moving there any time soon by the sounds of it.
The Spaniard has been heavily criticised by the Rossoneri fans throughout his spell at the club, failing to perform on a consistent level. Above all, he hasn’t been prolific enough for them and that’s why Milan are looking for a new right-winger.
Alexis Saelemaekers is destined to stay and that means Castillejo is the one that has to leave, but Milan aren’t exactly drowning in offers. In an interview Serie A News, Manuel Garcia Quilon (Castillejo’s agent) denied the recent Getafe rumours.
“There have been no negotiations or contacts with Getafe in relation to the future of Samu Castillejo,” he stated.
It seems we will have to wait a bit longer for Castillejo’s exit, therefore, although it’s not even certain that he will leave this summer.
