As the summer is approaching, several players will be available for free and Gigio Donnarumma is one of them as things stand. But it’s not all bad for Milan, as opportunities could arise on the market.
The Rossoneri have been linked with several players already and it’s clear that they will make a few signings this summer. Securing a Champions League return would help them tremendously but either way, reinforcements will be made.
Diogo Dalot, who arrived on loan from Man Utd last summer, could leave and this means Milan will need a new versatile defender. In recent weeks, they have been linked with Elseid Hysaj, who also can play on both sides of the defence.
His contract with Napoli will expire in the summer and a renewal seems unlikely, judging from the words of his agent Mario Giuffredi. In an interview with Radio Punto Nuovo, as cited by MilanNews, he spoke about the situation.
“The month of May will be decisive. Elseid is a top-tier player, therefore he deserves a top-tier club. They are all important clubs. If Hysaj leaves Napoli, Napoli will lose out, even if you never know about his future, as well as that of Gattuso. There are 4-5 solutions we are working on for Hysaj, 2-3 in Italy, a couple abroad. The Italian clubs are top-tier, with an important history,” he stated.
