As Hakan Calhanoglu hasn’t made a decision on the renewal offer yet, Milan are preparing for the worst just like they did with Gigio Donnarumma. In other words, they are evaluating several players for the No.10 role.
In recent days, the former Atalanta star Papu Gomez has been linked with a move to Milan. Just this morning, Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews) reported that the Rossoneri are indeed evaluating the experienced Argentine.
However, speaking to Radio Radio (via MilanNews) about the future of his client, Beppe Riso shut down the rumours. He made it clear that Gomez wants to stay at Sevilla, having spent just six months at the club: “He’s fine in Seville and wants to stay there,” he stated.
It remains to be seen if these comments were made just to shift the focus, but everything will depend on Calhanoglu’s decision for Milan. Meanwhile, it seems Brahim Diaz will remain at the club for at least one more season.
