Agent of striker acknowledges interest of Milan and Real Madrid but insists: “It’s not the time”

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of striker Lorenzo Lucca has acknowledged the rumours linking his client with a move to some top European clubs including AC Milan, but insisted it is not the right time to talk about a move.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) recently reported that Milan are looking for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s potential heir and Lucca is among the options targeted given that the 21-year-old has begun the Serie B season with 6 goals in 8 games, and recently he also scored his first goal with the Italy U21s.

They added that Pisa have no intention of letting him leave in January so Milan are planning Yacine Adli-style operation, by signing him for around €10m and loaning him back to Pisa.

Today’s edition of the same paper (via Calciomercato.com) confirmed Milan’s interest in the promising young striker and added that Geoffrey Moncada – the head of the Rossoneri scouting department – has actually endorsed the possible purchase.

Antonio Imborgia – the agent of Lorenzo Lucca – gave an interview with Mediagol.it during which spoke about the future of his client who is liked by the big Serie A teams.

“Lucca, as I see football, hasn’t even been playing football for twelve months, it’s not the time to talk about Inter, Milan, Juventus or Real Madrid. I tell you with sincerity, Lorenzo must continue his growth next year, which is made up of training and enrichment and is made up of knowledge about football,” he said (via MN24).

“If he were to change team in the future and it is conceivable so, we will go to look for a coach who will go and open the bag a little more and help him find the still unexplored resources to pull out, he must continue his path of maturation and definition of the player.

“He must not be in a hurry, because he is a footballer who arrived on the important stage a couple of years late, so you have to know how to wait for all the knowledge that Lucca has to add to repertoire but that he does not yet know, and you have to create the ideal conditions for making them your own and using them to the fullest.”

  1. I don’t understand our interest in this kid. Didn’t we sign Pellegri for similar role? Big young striker with potential? We need a proven player – one that has been in the league, can start almost every game and stay healthy and shown he can score consistently, and yes he should be on the younger side but not 18 lol. Vlahovic fits the bill IMO. Spend 50M and buy Vlahovic and we are set at that position for a while…
