Gabriel Paletta’s agent has on Wednesday confirmed his client won’t be joining Lazio in this window, according to SportItalia.
Gabriel Paletta is a sought after man in the blue parts of Rome. However, the Biancocelesti won’t see him in their shirt anytime soon, according to the players’ agent, Martin Guastadisegno.
Paletta’s agent confirmed today to media that the deal moving his client to Lazio is off due to wage demands. The Rossoneri defender had been in advanced negotiations for the transfer, but issues arised on Wednesday afternoon and the deal was completely abandoned on Wednesday night.
“He will stay at Milan, he’s not going to Lazio,” said Paletta’s agent to SportItalia.
In an interview with Milannews.it the agent added that:
“We had talked about it, then got closer to Lazio. Gabriel made his initial request and never moved from that. Unfortunately, we’re a long way off: he would like to go, but Lazio won’t reach what we asked for.
“He would’ve made an incredible effort to make it happen, but unfortunately it can’t.”
It’s unknown at the moment if Milan will try to send him elsewhere.
