The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has insisted that his client is not listening to the rumours of interest from abroad, and instead wants to renew his contract.
There have been growing reports suggesting that Jorginho is attracting some interest from Milan and Barcelona, with SPORT in Spain talking about ‘Operation Jorginho’ earlier this week and how the Rossoneri might well be the team in the best position to sign him.
The 30-year-old midfielder’s contract ends on June 30 and at the moment he will leave Stamford Bridge as a free agent unless of course he can agree fresh terms. He would be free to sign a pre-contract with teams outside England from January.
Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos was a guest on Relevo and he explained that his client’s priority remains to renew with the English club rather than entertain offers from abroad.
“I have never met Mateu Alemany. Our priority is the renewal with Chelsea and the only club with I have spoken to in recent weeks is Chelsea,” he said (via MilanNews).
