Agent responds to rumours Milan have priority for Fiorentina striker with €80m clause

The agent of Arthur Cabral has responded to a story suggesting AC Milan have a verbal agreement with Fiorentina over the striker.

Goal Brasil reported earlier in the week that the Rossoneri have secured priority in the event Cabral is sold. No document was signed, but a pact was made between the two presidents Paolo Scaroni and Rocco Commisso.

La Viola refused the request at first, but ‘gave in to the attacks’ this January, and the agreement means that Milan will be consulted in the event of a formal offer from another club for Cabral.

Luis Portela – Cabral’s agent – commented on the rumours of an agreement between Milan and Fiorentina for the Brazilian forward in an interview with Ge.globo.com.

“I have read articles according to which Milan and Fiorentina have a verbal agreement, but it is speculation in all respects,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).

“There is nothing at this moment. Cabral is focused exclusively on Fiorentina: he wants to win the Conference League final. After the end of the season we will talk about everything.”

Cabral has a contract with Fiorentina until June 2026 which has a release clause of €80m. He has scored eight goals in Serie A this season, plus one in the Coppa Italia and seven in the Conference League.
