Ajansspor: Zaniolo will join Milan from Galatasaray in the summer

By Oliver Fisher -

Nicolo Zaniolo will not stay at Galatasaray for long as he will join AC Milan in the summer, according to a report from Turkey.

Ajansspor recall how Galatasaray managed to secure the signing of Zaniolo from Roma for €15m during the winter transfer window, with the deal being officially announced on February 8 owing to the fact that the Turkish transfer window does not close until early March.

Despite the fact that the 23-year-old signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Istanbul club, it seems as though his long-term future with not be in the Süper Lig as there are already plans in place for him to return to Serie A.

The source adds that Zaniolo ‘will head to the Italian giant Milan at the end of the season’. Nothing else is mentioned regarding the terms of a potential deal, but there is a degree of certainty in their declaration.

Milan were heavily linked with the Italy international prior to his move to Galatasaray but were unable to agree a deal with Roma. However, the summer might well bring new opportunities for Zaniolo, who scored in his debut (a friendly vs. Alanyaspor).

    1. He won’t be free. his release clause is EUR35m, which means if we couldn’t afford him in the last transfer break at 15M, we wont be buying him for 35M – probably – unless there’s some way round this.

      1. Roma never gave option of 15 million to Milan. They are direct rivals. If Milan don’t activate clause possibilities are to agree smaller fee after clause passed or loan with option or obligation to buy.
If Zaniolo is going to be Milan player he probably will be loan option first.

    1. Lol u guys really think Chaka is that good? From Primavera games????
He’s light weight imo and will get bullied easily on the field. Serie A is physical. He needs to bulk up but I’m also wishing him success

    2. Chaka Traore is good but he is a left winger. Zaniolo is a right winger and trequartista, in which we are in desperate need of some quality. If we can get him on loan, I think it’s a no-brainer to take him and hope he can succeed

      1. “Zaniolo is a right winger and trequartista, in which we are in desperate need of some quality.”

LOL. No. Zaniolo and quality are pretty much the exact opposite things.

  1. People need to start listening to Cardinale’s words because he’s been very clear about Milan’s budget restrictions… It’s useless to keep talking about big numbers now because every single extra penny will inevitably be invested into the new stadium which is the absolute priority. IF Milan will decide this summer to spend more than 30M for a player, it will be a striker only because in that position we really need to strengthen up the team. Everything else is pure speculation.

    1. I wonder if the value of the release has been exaggerated to the same extent as the transfer fee. It was initially reported as about EU 25 m.

  2. “I’d rather renew Chaka Traore and promote him to first team than spend millions on a sure flop called Zaniolo.“ bro your dumb playing well in primavera means nothing.countless players flopped when they go into the senior team. Zaniolo has undeniable quality and is proven in serie a and Europe any team would take him.

    1. “Zaniolo has undeniable quality and is proven in serie a”

Sure. That one goal, one assist and 17 yellow cards prove he’s “undeniable quality”. 😀
