Al Qadsiah deny negotiations over Bennacer: “We already filled the eight spots”

Al-Qadsiah have denied that they are in talks over a deal that would see AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer join them, despite reports suggesting otherwise.

As we approach the final part of the summer transfer window, the feeling is that Milan want to make one more move in midfield in order to complete the department. However, in order to do so they must offload another player, with the leading candidate being Bennacer as things stand.

DzBallon in his home country Algeria reported earlier today that the former Empoli midfielder is ‘at the heart of intense speculation about his future’.

That is Saudi clubs are ‘ready to pay astronomical sums’, and they also added that Al-Qadsiah have offered Bennacer €15/yr salary, which is tempting him a lot.

According to the latest from Gianluca Di Marzio, Bennacer could leave Milan in these last days of the transfer market, as demonstrated by the fact that the Algerian did not train at Milanello today for the third consecutive day.

However, a member of the Al-Qadsiah management addressed the Bennacer rumours and denied that they are in talks: “We have already filled the eight spots for foreigners over 21, so we are not working to sign Bennacer.”

  1. INSHALA!!! If only we just went for a better ST instead of Tammy…

    GK: Maignan
DF: Tomori, Pavlovic, Thiaw, Emerson, Theo
MF: Bennacer, Fofana, Reijnders, (RLC, Kone?)
FW: Leao, Morata, Pulisic, Chukwueze, Okafor, (ST?)

These 14 spots are guaranteed and the final 3 is depending who we keep from Saelemakers, Jovic, RLC. The latter being wishful thinking but it’s most likely will be Jovic and Saelemakers for CM and FW final additions. or Italian which with this management is not an option or u21…

  2. Are we sure that Bennacer isn’t training for a third straight day because he is injured?
Kalulu was in negotiations with Juve and trained with Milan until the transfer was agreed upon.
    Pobega trained until he left.
Adli trained with Milan yesterday and later last night traveled to Florence.
Saelemaekers is rumored to be on his way to Roma, and he is in training today.

  3. Thank you God! At least we’re keeping one midfielder who’s capable of producing a pass instead of headless running.

Folks here going nuts over the likes of Fofana and Kone and endorsing them like they are the second coming of Viera and Makelele but a month ago didn’t even have a clue who these players are.

    1. Kone I understand but Fofana disrespect is weird… We have finally got 3 good midfielders, people rejoice…

This midfield trio will do a lot of work for us this season:
      Reijnders
      Fofana – Bennacer

    2. If you are talking about producing a short lateral, 5 meters forward pass, or backwards passes, he is absolutely capable. If you need any other pass, not so much.
Also, about him being the one midfielder that can produce a pass, Reijnders vs Torino sent a beautiful over the top pass to Leao that he did nothing with.
Vs Parma he set up Okafor with a pass but he hit more air than the ball. 2 clear goal scoring chances created thru a pass by a midfielder not named Bennacer.
And Bennacer does around headless running. The only difference between him and the other midfielders is that he does his headless running towards Maignan.

      1. that’s without a partner… I wait for him and Fofana in double pivot with Reijnders being N10.. If he fails then as well, I would start to agree with people about him being past his prime, but not a moment earlier

        1. What?
What not having a partner has to do with Bennacer not being able to make passes that are not few matters away?
He played next to Kessie for 3 years, also 3 years next to Tonali.
Bennacer doesn’t have the strength in his feet to make longer passes or take shots from the outside.
Defensively, outside of pressing he is very bad when it comes to his positioning. He is never where he is supposed to be because like a dog chasing a squirrel he is chasing the ball carrier and once the ball is passed out of the press he stops and quits in the middle of the pitch while the other team is exploiting the space he left unattended. Watch Torino chances while Bennacer was on the pitch. 10 meters behind the play standing or walking. Bennacer on the Torino 1st goal and Leao and Fofana on Parma 2nd goal did the same thing, quit.

      2. Ah yes Reijnders our undisputed (star)ter, a likable guy with a big smile that media endorsed and present him as the second coming of Seedorf. He genuinely seems nice. But statistically he had a worse season than Frattesi a bench alternative. He looks elegant on the ball and knows how to run vertically with it. But 38 games, 3 goals and 4 assists are not something that would create a tingle in my dingle.

Our midfielders are an international version of our banter era prime runners Poli and Bertolacci.

        1. The same comparison all the time that has nothing to do with the subject.
The comparison is between Bennacer and Reijnders.
If Frattesi had better season statistically than Reijnders guess what be had better season than any Bennacer’s season in his life. Because Reijnders first season at Milan statistically blows out of the water any Bennacer season.
Frattesi had better statistical season than Barella, Hakan and Mikhitaryan, does that make than bench warmer better player than those starters at inter?
Frattesi last season in all competitions 8g, 7a.
          Hakan 15g (13 penalties) 3 assists.
          Barella 2g, 7a
          Mikhitaryan 2g, 11 assists.
          Reijnders 4g, 4 a.
Bennacer never had a season with more than 5 goals contributions as a player.
Keep bringing up Frattesi, keep telling yourself that Bennacer is the only midfielder that can defend and the only midfielder that can pass, keep repeating it, maybe people will start to believe you.
Reijnders better stats than Hakan, same stats as Barella who was named midfielder of the season.
You talked about stats , there they are.

        2. Ted i enjoy your posts.

I do like Reijnders though, hes a real joker in the pack, capable of opening a team up.
I think if he has fofana and Bennacer with him in midfield we have something, just seems there is no coherent plan now

      3. -Reijnders vs Torino sent a beautiful over the top pass to Leao that he did nothing with.-

This is a perfect example why we don’t need fancy passers in the team..

      4. Last season, Bennacer was in a better percentile than Reijnders in key passes, progressives passes and forward passes (although Reijnders is better percentage wise by a slight margin) while also having better stats defensively wise (DataMB), and this is an out of shape, coming of injury Bennacer.

        1. The narrative that Ted wants to constantly push is that outside of Bennacer none of Milan midfielders can do anything but run.
If you look at the DATAMB graph there isn’t much difference between the 2, so how is Bennacer the only 1 that can pass?
No one is saying that Reijnders is the best midfielder in the league nor has anyone ever compared Reijnders with Seedorf, outside of Ted. All we hear is how Bennacer is world class, best Milan midfielder head and shoulders and yet he is on sale all summer long and no one wants this world class midfielder. Something doesn’t add up.
Milan finished 2nd with Bennacer being Injured or out of shape, with Leao being a$s most of the season, with Theo being a$s most of the season, with Maignan having the worst season of his Milan career, with Tomori, Thiaw and Kalulu out injured. How did they accomplish that under those circumstances if it wasn’t for the production of the new midfielders and the new players in general that certain people act like they were a waste of money because they were signed after Maldini was fired and Tonali sold, so by default they don’t deserve any credit.
BTW, Reijnders played out of position last season in a new league.

          1. Speaking for myself, my issue is that I’m constantly seeing posts of people pushing for Bennacer to be sold, benched,…. these same posters don’t seem to have problems with RLC being nothing more than a second striker or Musah being pretty much a NFL player who can’t defend, shoot or pass in any direction. Like it or not, outside of Reijnders, none is a better passer than Bennacer and defensively wise, outside of Fofana, none is better than Bennacer.
If we still had the scudetto’s midfield or inter’s current midfield I can understand the idea to sold Bennacer but our midfield is pretty mid (pun intended) and what do we propose ? Who are these midfielders who would be a massive upgrade from Bennacer that are lining up to join us ?
“Milan finished 2nd with Bennacer being Injured or out of shape, with Leao being a$s most of the season, with Theo being a$s most of the season, with Maignan having the worst season of his Milan career, with Tomori, Thiaw and Kalulu out injured.”
I think it speaks more about how absolute garbage the serie A has become rather how outstanding our midfield was. Juventus finished 3rd, 4 pts behind us while winning only twice since march !!! I can’t dream of an easier serie A than last season.
BTW the biggest contributor to the last’s season “success” among the new player is not one of our midfielder but Pulisic, who managed to score on his own as much as Diaz, Messias and Saelemakers combined.

          2. See you just make things up in your mind. I did not even mention Reijnders in my OP, it’s you who’s pushing the narrative accusing me. And @Giga94 gave you an example of that from comparison between the two from DataMB.

Comparing between Frattesi(mezz’ala), Hakan(regista) and Barella(box to box), well they do play different roles and positions in the midfield don’t they? So a comparison of stats between them is irrelevant. But since you are pushing the narrative I will go along with it. Frattesi and Reijnders do have same roles in the midfield. You can check and compare the heatmaps between the two from last season.

  4. SOmething doesn’t add up. It wold have been communicated to Milan even before an offer was sent if there was no room for Bennacer to join.

And if he hasn’t tained for three days, that means Milan are confident of offloading him…

  5. Sell that turtle pls no matter for free we don’t need that slow garbage when opponent midfielders/players creating problems in our box he is jogging in midfield just it shows you how slow he is
