AC Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by Como at San Siro on Wednesday night, here are some of the key stats from the game.
It was certainly not a game to shout about from a Milan perspective. In fact, it was a game to forget. From poor officiating to the goal conceded, the Rossoneri were not great, and that showed in the result, unfortunately.

Though, the same could be said for the goal which Rafael Leao scored. Perhaps, Massimiliano Allegri’s side were lucky to get a draw. Either way, it is a point gained in the European race, but two dropped for the Scudetto.
Here are the key stats.
All the key ones
Starting with the important stats, the 1-1 draw is, ultimately, a defeat which hurts Milan more than it probably benefits them. Of course, it is another point on the board, as Allegri tried to frame it after the game.
However, in a Scudetto race, which the Diavolo cannot draw themselves out of, it is a chance wasted to pile pressure on. Whilst it is another game out of the way, and another strong head to head result, it was not a great game.
Indeed, this shows from the fact that the Rossoneri only had four shots on target all game, one of them being the goal, whilst only two big chances were created. As Allegri said, it was a rather boring game.

Jashari’s moment
On a brighter note, in a more advanced role, Ardon Jashari looked really strong. The Swiss looked comfortable as an eight, and it is fair to say that he flourished a little more than we have seen from him in a deeper position.
Creatively he had an impact, as proven by the assist. However, he also made three other chances on the night, whilst having a 97% passing accuracy, which is tremendously high for a midfielder in a more creative role.
Furthermore, he broke up play well, with four repossessions. A very solid game, hopefully we shall see him more prominently in this role.

An xG low
Finally, the big downside to this game is that the Diavolo had their worst attacking performance at San Siro since the Napoli win. Against the Partenopei, the side only mustered 0.75 xG, whilst the visitors, although helped by the penalty, had 2.96 xG.
On Wednesday, it was a similar story, with Milan only managing 0.77 xG compared to Como’s 1.33. Perhaps this could be debated too, by the fact that Leao’s attempt was given a score of 0.22 xG, which could certainly be debated, considering it was from 25 yards out.
Nevertheless, this is something that must be improved, given it is somewhat of a rare low.

Yeah what’d you expect. Leao was absolutely sh’tting the bed again, goal aside. And Nknunku is still Nkunku
Lea scored a goal that only goes in 22% of the time LOL
Yeah and maybe if he’d put in a better shift we would have created a few more chances. He’s lazy, sluggish and slow (at least at the moment). What’s the point in fielding him at this point. Can’t wait for Pulisic and Santi to be back to 100%. Hell, even RLC looked better
Nkunku is horrible. People got excited because he scored like 3-4 PK’s.
This game was supposed to be Nkunku’s bread and butter. The large spaces to run and the space between the lines—but this guy cannot do anything if he isn’t getting the ball while running forward, and he isn’t even that fast. He really is an average player. Milan got scammed out of 38M euros; he is more like 13-18M.
