Moretto: Allegri’s admiration and Leao bond – two factors ‘could bring Kean closer’ to Milan

Massimiliano Allegri is a big admirer of Moise Kean and his situation is one to watch in view of the summer.

It’s no secret that Allegri already knows and appreciates Kean, given that the coach already worked with the striker during his time at Juventus. With Milan in the market for a new number nine ahead of the summer window, the Italian could be just the right fit given his experience and eye for goal.

There will of course be other names that are on the list of options, as seen with the Jean-Philippe Mateta operation. However, with Fiorentina stuck in a relegation battle at present, the chance to sign Kean could become more feasible given he will potentially look to move on.

‘A name Allegri especially likes’

Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto spoke live on a YouTube broadcast and they confirmed that the Rossoneri are ones to watch in the Kean sweepstakes. MilanNews relayed what the latter had to say.

“It’s a piece of news we discussed in January. In January, I talked about it as if it were a backstory: the player Allegri liked most due to his characteristics was Kean, who wouldn’t have moved in the winter anyway,” he said.

“Kean wanted to finish the season in Fiorentina. From there, we must understand if Milan come back stronger in the summer, but he’s still a name Allegri really likes. I’d add that he’s a good friend of Leao, and I’d add that Leao’s future remains to be seen.

“However, these are factors that could bring Kean closer. The possible offer Fiorentina are negotiating is also unclear, so we’ll see. There’s still a long way to go, but he’s a name Allegri especially likes.”

      1. both are too unrealistic…

we already have Leao, Pulisic, Nkunku and Gimenez for 2 positions… bringing another 2 starter level players just doesn’t make any sense. we ain’t Manchester City

    1. Lucumi and Gila should be our main priority (20M)

      Zalewski as LWB/RWB (15-20M)

Andre or Bernabe for midfield to be vice-Rabiot (20M)

      Kean or Vlahovic as ST

      1. If we do stick to 5-3-2 (which i think is a huge mistake) then we’ll need a couple of monster athletes at wing back to have any chance in Europe. Salad & Bartesaghi are fine for Serie A but they’ll get badly exposed.

  1. I prefer 4-3-3 than 3-5-2. It suits more to our attacking department and doesnt require heavy investment. Pulisic, Nkunku and (especially) Leao can play well at wing (we also has Sale as the 4th choice to rotate if needed). Just offload Gimenez/Fullkrug and buy one Striker so our attack is ok. For our defense, Koni can play RB/CB so one “real” RB and (after offload Tomori), one strong CB than we’ll be fine

  2. What’s happening at Fiorentina is not Moise Kean’s fault. He still has 9 goals for a team that barely scores anymore. I would welcome him at Milan.
