Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that it will be very difficult for AC Milan to compete for the Scudetto, with just 13 games remaining of the season.
Due to the 1-1 draw against Como earlier in the week, Milan are now seven points behind their city rivals Inter (before this weekend’s matchday, anyway). It’s a pretty big gap that has resulted in many fans giving up on the Scudetto.

Our video and podcast contributor Lorenzo said as much in his post-match reaction. The feeling is that Inter are too good to slip up that much, while Milan are clearly lacking in certain aspects. Even Allegri seems to think it’s too difficult.
Points calculations return
During his press conference, the gaffer was asked about the situation and made it clear that Inter are the favourites as things stand. Only if they were to slip up would the responsibility fall on Milan, who remain the only real Scudetto contender.
“Inter are on a very strong run, and with 13 games left, at an average of two points per game, they’re over 90. 88/90. So, for us to get to 90, from 54, we need to get 36 points, meaning 12 wins and one defeat.

“If Inter were to fall behind, and we fail to capitalise on their mistakes, that’s our responsibility, but Inter are the clear favourites for the Scudetto.
“We have to do our job, starting with beating Parma. These two games are very important for us, as are the derby and the others, until we reach our objective,” he stated.

Scudetto race is over in my opinion. Inter is the best team of Serie A ,they don’t drop stupid points with “small” and medium teams of the league like a certain team we all know very well 😆😆…
The most important thing now for us is to maintain or even increase the distance between us and all teams below us. Second place is the maximum we can achieve this season.
Yes it looks very tough. I though Inter might drop points vs Sassuolo and Juve but they got the referees to help them out again. Still, if its a 7 point gap and we win the derby making it 4, Inter have a tough run of games right after (Atalanta home, Fiorentina away, Roma home, Como away).
If its a 4 point gap after the derby there will still be some excitment in the top. Even if I give Inter 90% chance to win the scudetto. If the somehow advance it the CL and have more games and need to rotate more, maybe that figure drops to 80%
Hope is the last thing to abandon a man
Wishful thinking mate ,if U think Inter get help from Referees U should get Ur eyes tested.especially against Juve as they were always given the advantages before .U should ask Milan about them .Be happy that they tasted some of their own medicine.
And finishing 2nd wouldn’t be terrible. Looking back since I think the season before the scudetto season, we’ve finished 2nd every year except the scudetto and obviously last year. That’s a great turn around from the banter Era. Now we have stability, we can push to compete for trophies and we as milan can carry the champions league for Italy as we should. So, yea this season slightly disappointing since 90% of the time you finish the season with 1 maybe 2 losses you should win the league but hey this is growth.
This season was our chance. Juve and Napoli are crap, so only Inter remained as contenders. We hhad 1 match per week, Mike and Modric in their prime form. It was our scudetto to lose, not Inter’s to win. Instead we had draws with the worst teams in the league and our 2 best attackers Leao and Puli had long term drop off due to injuries. Next season will be even harder with more games and probably no Modric(or not as often playing anyway).
Inter has Marotta who is controlling Serie A….Inter fixtures are easier and referees are helping Inter to win and others to drop points with yellow or red cards and suspension for big matches….Marota is behind of all these. Inter have good squad and good enough to win fairly but Marotta is fixing to make sure Inter can win Scudetto
Sad but 100% true, Inter have gotten so much help this season that it is beyond suspicious.
