AC Milan’s assistant coach Marco Landucci has named the one thing that he didn’t like from the performance against Bari.
Landucci was the one on the sidelines for the Coppa Italia victory over the team from Serie B, with Massimiliano Allegri forced to serve a touchline ban after being sent off in the final at the end of the 2023-24 season with Juventus.

In the end it was a drama-free evening for Milan, who scored in each half through Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic to secure progress to the last 16 with minimal fuss. It was not a perfect performance, but it was certainly something to build on.
Landucci spoke at a press conference after the full-time whistle at San Siro to offer more of his thoughts on the game, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
How do you rate the first game?
“As in every game, we’re satisfied with some things, less so with others. Beyond the numbers: Tomori provided an assist as a full-back. These are things we’d prepared to improve our space occupation.”
How is Leao?
“We’ll evaluate his injury in the next few days. It’s not a knock, but a muscle problem.”
How is Modric?
“We found everyone in Milan to be decent and serious, just like him. He put himself at full speed, he doesn’t hold back, and he doesn’t give an inch.”
Is Loftus-Cheek a key player?
“He did well, but the important thing is the team’s performance. They had too many shots on goal, and that’s not something we like very much.”
Tare talked about Hojlund and Vlahovic: what kind of striker are you looking for?
“I’m not talking about the market.”
Did Gimenez have some difficulties?
“I’m not worried at all. He arrived later than the others, he’s a good player, he puts in every training session and he needs to improve. Today he even provided an assist. Then he needs to improve, as does the whole team.”
So finally even the coach confirms Tomori played as RB. All this nonsense about a backline of three that I read everywhere should be stopped.

We will most likely keep 352 in which Tomori can act as FB when needed to overload the right side. This is how I understood at least 😊
Completely agree. Even though fofana this time mostly hit the target, that doesnt have to have happen next games, and his shots were not dangerous for the keeper too. If the coach adresses this, we would be stronger.
Fofana squandered so many balls with his shots, Reijnders did too last season, he got few goals, but so many of his shots were blocked and resulted into a cheap ball loss.
Sadly yesterday, saelemakers joined the team of the distant shooters…

Instead of fofana taking those shots there were instead he couldn’t given santi a through ball from open play same as pulisic taking shoots rather that passing , santi made good movements but they didnt give him the ball

Good. Now we have people in charge that can look at what should be improved. There should have been more passing to our attacking players.
I do get it though, all the players were trying their best to impress. They did play well as a unit nonetheless.
Well… Just like last season. Players like Fofana, Musah, and Pavlovic need to be told they’re not shooters. Instead of passing (which isn’t always accurate), they try to kick the ball into the goal, hoping the wind will help them…

Musa for example HAS TO BE TOLD THAT INSTEAD OF THINKING HIMSELF AS SEEDORF, HE SHOULD THINK HIMSELF LIKE BAKAYOKO….Stop running and giving away possession….just cycle possession through clever passing….
