It’s a difficult time for Santiago Gimenez at the moment, and not just because of the fact that he is struggling to score.
As Corriere della Sera (via AllMilan) report this morning, Massimiliano Allegri couldn’t contain his frustration with Gimenez during the draw with Pisa. The Rossoneri coach shouted at the striker: “Santiii, wake up… are you sleeping?”

Allegri’s comments come after a another strange performance from Gimenez, who appeared disoriented and at times isolated. Despite having had several big chances this season, the former Feyenoord player has not managed to find the back of the net yet in the league.
This is a significant problem considering that it means that Gimenez is still without a goal after eight Serie A games. His only goal so far this season has come in the Coppa Italia, against Lecce.
While Allegri clearly appreciated the hard work that Gimenez does and some of the things he brings off the ball, the currency that counts for a striker is goals, and it seems the coach might be running out of patience.
In fact, a report this morning from the same paper spoke about there being a potential signing in January, with three centre-forwards being monitored.

Alegri was right, when he at first trained this team, he asked for wc number 9, but instead got forty million winger, and yet here we are.
Yeah, it’s crazy. I’m hoping Nkunku doesn’t become a vastly more expensive Okafor.
He is disaster and never will scorer here. We should sell him and bring some another. If you cant score against Pisa then you dont need play football
Mate you clearly hate him as every article on him you comment something negative. I like this guy. And a hell of a lot more than Dovbyk! The problem is service. He has none in this team. We have no quality attacking mid. How can you got from scoring 30+ goals to forgetting how to score!!??
His team mates have stopped passing to him because he keeps muffing his chances.
Earlier in the season, with Leao out, he got a lot more service, and muffed every single chance.
Paired now with Leao, the traditional centerpoint of attack, the team is going to pass to Leao, and Leao is going to hog the ball.
That’s why Gimenez is starting to give up hope.
Not attacking you but if you looked at the chances he has missed it means he is in deed getting the service,I come in peace
Yeah i agree he has missed alot of chances, but how all of a sudden he misses when he scored so much before? I’d get it if he was a 10 goal striker but he scored 30+ in his last season in Holland and some of the goals were great finishes. Just think there is something else to this…
he does do a lot off the ball but the article is correct, a striker needs to score. We should have kept Tammy or tried to bring back Olivier. We’ll see what happens before January and what happens during the winter mercato.
Tammy-🤣🤣🤣, Giroud🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro are you normal at all?
Yikes, Igor Tudor must be close to being shown the door. Juve lose again! At least some of the results went Milan’s way this weekend.
Don’t worry juve has won capolista too many, like 30 or 35 scuds?
One thing I don’t like about this Milan management is that, they don’t learn. They keep on making same mistake everytime. When you knew you weren’t gonna go all out for Vilahovic or other top strikers , why did they allow Tammy to go in the first place . They always throw the baby out with bath water. So sad.
