AC Milan are advancing in talks with Massimiliano Allegri and are hoping to close an agreement with him quickly, reports claim.
It has been a day full of news regarding Allegri’s potential return to Milan, after his first spell at the club from 2010 to 2014. La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that he has become the No.1 target with Vincenzo Italiano set to renew with Bologna, and since then there has been talk of a contract offer.

Allegri to Milan: Getting closer
Fabrizio Romano writes on his X: “AC Milan have sent their formal proposal to Massimiliano Allegri to be their new head coach. He’s the main option to replace Sérgio Conceiçao, with good chances for it to happen if Napoli will continue with Antonio Conte.”
Meanwhile, Matteo Moretto states: “Milan, close to a verbal agreement with Massimiliano Allegri. He is the very first choice of the Rossoneri club, who have accelerated on him in the last few hours. They want to close quickly.”
Di Marzio is reporting that confidence is increasing at Milan that they will get his approval within 24/48 hours. The offer that Milan have put forward is €5m net per season plus bonuses per season for two year , with an option for a third.
MilanNews echo the news above and confirm Allegri is getting closer. The coach’s definitive response is expected in the next few hours and confidence is growing that a deal can be closed, with €5m per year the offer.
For Allegri it would obviously be a second spell at Milan, after the three and a half seasons and 178 games in charge. He won the Scudetto in 2010-11, and then the Supercoppa Italiana the following season.

Allegri is not as bad as Conceicao at least as he will definitely solve our defensive problems as Milan conceded way too many goals under Conceicao, tight defence is needed for the current team if they want to finish top 4 or even win Scudetto and Allegri is proven winner 🏆 even though he play boring football, what current Milan need is the result and recover just like Napoli did

Couldn’t give a crap about style of play right now. I want to start winning now and to build upon a solid foundation for the future. Max brings that. He get my vote, I’ve had enough of risk taking for the time being. Let take risks when we’ve had 3 consistent years of CL football under our belt and a mended reputation as title challengers.

We’re not going to suddenly start playing amazing attractive football, nor realistically challebge for a title… in the short term we need to get back into the champions league and allegri should be able to do that. Conte would just would a large budget and leave after a year like he may well do with Napoli. People need to get out of this dream world and think about realistically what is the best option out there that we can actually attract and is on the market…
I’m going to respectfully disagree with my fellow Milanisti when it comes to Allegri.
Right now, I am not against stability.
I think we were too slow when it came to Conte. Would have loved to have that fire he brings.
I know it’s not the most entertaining out there, but right now, I think we all wanna be able to win at least 4 games in a row.
Realistically, with where we are, and accepting our owners for what they are… I think Allegri is not the worst option out there.

Finally, a real coach, I agree with one of the comments that said they should have got him six months ago instead of conceicao, I think you could go one step further, he should have been brought here last summer windows. Everyone wants conte, but don’t realize that he’ll leave in one year and leave the team at square one, especially with this incompetent management.
With Conte it’s just the demand for instant gratification which is a common thread.
Nobody who cares about the long term future of the club could want Conte.

These Directors and Owners of Milan must be joking. How could you, just about a year ago or less agree to get rid of Pioli in search of a modern, possession based style of football, turn around and go, you know what, screw that vision, let’s hire Allegri – the boring, park the bus, look for the 1 goal or the draw style of football? It begs the question of how these football clubs are run, with only short-term thinking, easily swayed by the media, and a lack of long-term visionary goals and objectives.
Are you still wondering? The management has no vision or whatsoever. All the vision balderdash were just something they said to justify their action beforehand.
They said they’re not looking for a manager, but a coach. And now they desperately approach Conte or someone similar. They said they didn’t want to get in the agent’s commission game on Zirkzee fiasco, yet they hold romantic relation with Jorge Mendez. An so on.

Conti – Gabbia, RLC and Theo
Terrible choice, unfortunately. We need a manager who can paper over the weaknesses in the squad, and play a smart modern game. Allegri is not that type of manager.
I would rather go for De Zerbi, Sarri, Mancini even Xavi Hernandez.
Although I still respect Allegri. He was a Milan manager afterall and he did win a scudetto. But he’s not the manager we need.
Best available coach
Great defence. His teams are hard to beat. He’s good with young players and he’s good in Europe. He’s a much better coach than the fraud Conte. The football will not be pretty, but beggars can’t be choosers.
My choice for Milan is only Sergio Conseisao . He is best coach for me . If he gets time he will change everything. Milan mgt should have give him at least one period then they will evaluated him whether he is stay or sack him otherwise I don’t accepted their decision sacking him b/s of loosing coppa Italy . No Italiano no conte no Allegri only Sergio Conseisao for Milan .

It’s not like we’re playing attractive football right now and loosing. We play very horrible football and we still loose. To an extent Allegri will guarantee us stability. I prefer to win all the matches with 1 goal and unattractive football. Than having the ball for 90mins and loosing by 1 goal. Conte wins and then leave you stranded, De zerbi, motta, bologna coach are all inexperience and not proven. My options have been Allegri, Conte, Klopp , or we remain with our Coach
