There will be yet another meeting between Massimiliano Allegri and Giorgio Furlani to plan for the future, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) speak of another lunch between Allegri and the CEO with the usual menu: planning, transfer market and before that the final efforts to achieve the season’s objective which is a top four finish.

Planning continues

Furlani will once again visit Allegri at Milanello, Max’s kingdom. At the table, there will be yet another discussion about the future of Milan. If the coach hadn’t publicly declared his desire to continue his Rossoneri journey, all the close meetings are evidence of a project still under construction.

Allegri has identified the positions that are currently most uncovered, starting with center forward and midfielder. Together with the club, the players deemed most suitable for those roles are then identified. Furlani faces the difficult task of balancing the books and sporting needs.

The matter will be discussed again today, although the main focus remains on the final part of the season. Only by qualifying for the Champions League – the richest and most competitive European tournament – will AC Milan receive UEFA revenues, which are a minimum of €60m.

This amount the club will reinvest in the transfer market (presumably net of any sales). To get there though six more points are needed, with Sassuolo up next on Sunday, Speaking of which, Allegri granted the team the afternoon off yesterday, despite a double session scheduled.
