As the dust continues to settle after AC Milan’s explosive end to the season, more information is emerging about the fall-out.
Big changes were promised by Gerry Cardinale, and on Monday they came. The RedBird Capital founder and chief sacked Massimiliano Allegri, Igli Tare, Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada. From the current structure, only Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Massimo Calvelli remain.

A toxic relationship
Monica Colombo has written a strong piece in Corriere della Sera today (relayed by Francesco Nasato). She starts by pointing out that when Alexis Saelemaekers scored the goal on Sunday night, only Igli Tare jumped to his feet to celebrate.
The other executives that were sat in their usual spot in the stands remained impassive, almost annoyed by the turn the evening was taking, with the protests from the fans.
The team had put itself in the best possible conditions to qualify for the Champions League. It would have been impossible with top four to sack both Massimiliano Allegri and Tare, despite Ibrahimovic ‘not being able to stand either one of them’.
The fracture between Allegri and Zlatan – for which the roots go back in time – had occurred in a restaurant and in the presence of Giorgio Furlani and Tare. The now former CEO and sporting director had to ‘physically separate the coach and the Swede’.
In recent weeks several sources broke the news that Max had fallen out with Ibrahimovic and that the pair were no longer on speaking terms.
It stems from conversations that the Swede had behind the coach’s back, with players and with vocal Allegri critic Antonio Cassano, plus disagreements over transfer strategy.
No details on even the rumos here… sounds fake so far..

Marco Guidi , a journalist, commented on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s role in the new AC Milan in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport : “And in the end, Ibra remains. Or rather, Zlatan Ibrahimovic shouldn’t be considered a director of AC Milan, but a shareholder and partner of RedBird, so it’s not either ‘go or stay,’ he’s far beyond these discussions. Gerry Cardinale chose him when the Swede ended his playing career, involving him in the project in a unique way, namely by offering him shares in the American fund he owns. An offer that had also been made to Paolo Maldini at the time, but to no avail. Maldini said ‘no thanks,’ Ibra replied ‘yes, gladly,’ and began his new adventure alongside Cardinale, making himself available to learn and grow as a manager, unlike Paolo, who was fired from AC Milan.

The part about zlatan accepting the offer is most probably true.
They already met with Iraola prior to the last match. They held a meeting on a Sunday afternoon just a few hours before the kick-off. That i*iot of an owner held a press-conference without the journalist which criticized the management. Only Tare celebrated the goal of them all in the lounge, the owner ran straight after the match was over and now plans to continue with iznogoud despite this guy making so many direct damage to ACM, what more do you want?!
So, the direct damage wasn’t relegation team football and failing to finish top 4? I’m also also unsure about Ibrahimovic, but my word.
You missed the point, I’m not saying Allegri didn’t deserve to be let go, he deserved the sacking, it’s ibrahimovic as well who MUST share his dire fate.
Initially I read it as Furlani stopping them which I had a pretty hard time believing but sure Tare is more believable as he was a bit of a bull in his active days.

2 idiots without a clue
If it is true, that Ibra called Milan players behind Allegris back, to tell them, that they are no longer in the coaches plan – then he is a traitor to Milan, and should get a boot out of the door. This demoralises players, especially at the end of the season…And we all know how the end of the season went.
Yes, that is one of the few things that could possibly explain how they went from losing 3 games all.seasom to winning 2 on the last 2.
On filed and dressing room issues doe not allow for such a total collapse.
I still think people largely overstate Ibrahimovic’s influence on our season. In regards to last year that was visibly true – he held press conferences, he was always on the training field, which probably means he had more of an influence in terms of final decisions made as well.
As a result of the 8th place and with the hiring of Tare, he was stripped of most of his privileges. He never liked Allegri, it was clear since day 1 of Allegri’s appointment, where they both said “we are both looking in the same direction” with micro text “but from very different angles”. Ibra was right – Allegri is a bad choice, though I doubt even he imagined we will be out of top 4.
Now he has the greatest influence so far on the next Milan chapter, as he is THE only advisor of Gerry in regards to who will be the next director and coach. For good or bad it remains to be seen, but at least I hope all new roles will work in cohesion and with 1 vision. If they say they want offensive/modern/fast-paced football and hire Allegri v2, then it’s clear we are still in limbo.
Ibra is a toxic facor. i have no clue what did he offr Milan to be chosen over likes Maldini or even Gattuso. a real compatriots for milan shirt. he is not italian even for fk sake

Even though Saelemaekers was already owned by AC Milan then Roma actually did want to buy him and according to an article of the time Allegri was hired it was made clear that he returned on Allegris recommendation which in my view at least was a good choice as he performed well in the first half of the season.

The craziest part is Cassano was right (about Allegri) all along lol. He also might be right on stuffs he said about Leao in the end.

Allegri has been sacked and has a contract to settle.
