Massimiliano Allegri, Head Coach of Juventus

Allegri’s mentor fuels Milan links and insists he will ‘never return to Juventus’

Massimiliano Allegri’s mentor Giovanni Galeone believes that a Juventus return can be ruled out, suggesting that AC Milan would be preferred.

Allegri has been out of work since leaving Juventus towards the end of last season, and he hopes that his time away from the dugout will end shortly. In fact, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning that he thinks Milan are the right next club for him.

On the other hand, a section of Juve fans chanted Allegri’s name on Sunday after a 4-0 loss against Atalanta. It was the biggest home defeat for the Bianconeri since 1967 and it has put Thiago Motta under serious pressure to turn things around.

Now, Galeone – who works as a mentor for Allegri and others – has given an interview to Radio Kiss Kiss in which he spoke about what the future might hold for the coach.

“Allegri will never return to Juventus; I believe more in a return to Milan, but I really don’t think it could happen with the Bianconeri,” he said (via Football Italia).

Allegri intends to start planning for the 2025-26 season from the start of the summer, and while there have been links with clubs in Saudi Arabia, Roma and West Ham, he still seems to be waiting for the right call.

  1. No more experimenting. We need someone who can stabilize this ship. It’s a toss up between Allegri, Conte and Sarri. Someone with clout and credibility who can quickly establish himself with the players. Maybe Gasp if he is available

  2. Allegri not only had a less than ideal roster at Juve last time, he had incredible turmoil. Financial issues kept them out of the market. Given we are financially stable this means we can expect more from him as a coach.

Those same issues made the points deductions look like a Trump tax cuts. His players didn’t know what to play for but they clearly knew _who_ to play for. Give that Milan is a super stable organization with a great plan in place (sarcasm) … Allegri will bring calm in this area. We can expect to be better.

While our current team plays beautiful football and lacks results … oh wait … Let me start again: Our football today is ugly, erratic and inconsistent. It is not effective. We can expect a solid back line from day 1 with Allegri and we can expect and approach that puts the players in a position to win every game.

Sarge yells. Sarge moans. Sarge gets it fights with players on the pitch then excuses himself as passionate. Allegri is a pro.

We will not play UCL football next season. I cannot imagine attracting the likes of a Gűler to a Sarge led team. “Hey kid, come play for us … you can get yelled at and sit on the bench next to Camarda while I play three card monte with the starting lineup every week.” The alternative: “Play for a coach who has a full trophy case, is proven in Serie A and willl bring UCL football back to Milan the next season. You, Arda, can be part of the project that restores this great club to the top of the table with Max.” Turns out this will apply to other quality players too (Ricci comes to mind)

We can do much worse than Allegri. We cannot do much better.

I’ll happily yawn through our games next season if we are in the Scudetto hunt.

    1. Was it when they bought Vlahovic? The financial constraints? 😂😂😂 Or Chiesa the season after? What a joke of a manager. People have to make up financial issues to cover how bad he is.

      1. or were the financial issues caused by those mistakes.

People have to look only at the time period that make their argument … /irony

I note that you have not suggested who would be the right person and why. I note this as a pattern in most of your posts along with the expert use of emoji.

Is there a coaches name in the emoji I am missing.

  3. Please no Allegri. He won a ton of trophies at Juve after Conte turned them back into a winner and both Milanese clubs went in the crapper for a decade.

    He’s anti-football stylistically.
