A climate of calm is being preached from within the walls of Casa Milan and Milanello, despite the collapse in the past two months.
As Calciomercato.com recall, in one part of the city, there is a fan base – the Inter side – who experienced a night of celebrations after winning the league title. Meanwhile, Milan went to bed with a strong sense of frustration, after a 2-0 loss to Sassuolo without a short on target.
The equation remains quite simple: Milan need six points from their last three matches against Atalanta, Genoa and Cagliari to secure a Champions League place. Without threatening to score at all, though, how can they even hope to win a game?
Two meetings booked in
Milan’s second half of the season has been a tough one, with just 25 points collected so far in 16 games. The most recent blow they received in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo was particularly painful and prompted a disappointed reaction from the management, who now want to see the job done.
All the players – from the most experienced to the youngest – are under scrutiny, while discussions with the coaching staff will continue to investigate the causes of this stumble in the second half of the season.
Today (Tuesday 5 May) is the scheduled day for the squad’s return to Milanello, with the goal of preparing as best as possible for next Sunday’s crucial match against Atalanta. Igli Tare will certainly be at the training centre for a series of meetings with the team and one with Allegri.
The defeat on Sunday will be analysed and the reasons that led to such a disappointing performance will be dissected from every perspective. That will not be the only meeting that takes place this week, however.
Two summits are scheduled this week, one with CEO Giorgio Furlani also present. The Champions League objective is of fundamental importance to advancing the project, both in a sporting and financial sense. This concept will be reiterated loudly, while planning continues.

wow…. the league is so scared, furlani has 2 meetings per week. Freaking clowns
Other teams realize there are three Milan players that possess any creativity. Modric, Pulisic, and Leao. They clog the middle and man mark these guys aggressively. force the ball out wide where the wing backs are not creative. And there is no target man to finish crosses (not that any wingback is good at crossing the ball).
Good idea! Meet the pen pusher who doesn’t know anything about football!
Sadly, consecutively missing out on CL will put RedBird into sell and salvage plan… That’s what’s behind these “crises” meetings.
