This weekend, we may see Massimiliano Allegri move his AC Milan team to a 4-3-3 after months of requests for him to do so from fans.
Over the past few months, the 3-5-2 has been picked apart after several underwhelming results and Milan may have no option but to look at something new in the final few games of the season. After all, the Champions League could become a question of being brave.

The other bonus behind a switch would be that Milan can begin to assess certain players for the season ahead. If they trial certain things now, they can make the right choices in the mercato with evidence of performances.
Why move now?
As MilanNews writes, Allegri trialled the 4-3-3 in training today and he was asked a lot about the formation in his press conference earlier this afternoon.
Offensively, his team have slowed down significantly, so there is a need to get more firepower into his frontline. Adding another forward to the teamsheet would potentially have a massive impact, then.
The biggest thing is that the Italian now has the option to do so with everyone available to him once again. As a result, he can now get the foundations laid ahead of next season. After all, with the options available to him, he can now ‘finally choose’ to take the path leading him and his team back to 4-3-3.
It may have taken a while, but it now seems that Allegri is ready to unleash his squad.
