Mixed messages – Allegri praises Gimenez whilst Tare shows Milan striker the door

There have been a few questions about AC Milan’s mercato, and these are not set to go anywhere just yet.

In the past week, the number of questions emerging and rising about the transfer window has been worrying. Massimiliano Allegri has asked for two players specifically this summer, and only Adrien Rabiot seems like a possibility.

Dusan Vlahovic has been the bigger priority, all things considered. However, he will not join, it seems.

Milan, make your mind up

Instead, Milan are manufacturing a move for Artem Dovbyk, and doing this would mean Santiago Gimenez leaves the club. In fact, before last night’s game with the Mexican starting, Tare, very publicly, asked him to leave the club.

Is the attack complete? Can Dovbyk replace Gimenez?

“Numerically, as we stand now, I think so. However, we’re also evaluating the alternative of a swap deal with Gimenez: we’ll know if that’s feasible after the match. Keeping them together? It won’t be possible. Playing one game a week, we need to have the right squad: only in the event of a swap deal, otherwise we’ll stay as we are.”

After the game, Allegri was positive about his performance, praising him when asked about his future, as MilanNews relays.

Can Gimenez stay?

“He can help this team. He’s important, and he’s been here for 20 days. He played a good game tonight and has two goals disallowed. But the fact that he scored them and is there… he has opportunities to score.”

How do you plan to use Nkunku?

“I don’t know how I’ll be able to use him. He’s a very high-quality player, and I think we already have excellent players up front, and the important thing is to find the right balance with them.”

  1. maybe get Dovbyk as a plan B on loan which turn obligation under 30M if we get into UCL? basically the Boniface deal with more assurances for the capital side… Plan A Vlahovic, but at this point I think Dovbyk is more realistic

Rabiot and another CB: Lucumi, Akanji, or if we can fool Fiorentina into selling Comuzzo lmao

    1. Bodoh jika Gimenez di tukar sama dovbyk. Lebih baik Dovbyk di pinjam daripada di tukar dengan Gimenez. KASIH KESEMPATAN GIMENEZ MAIN RUTIN, KECUALI CEDERA. JIKA INI TERJADI, ALLEGRI DAN IGLE TARE MUNDUR. TERMASUK CARDINALE,FURLANI BERSERTA DIREKSI LAINNYA MENINGGALKAN MILAN

  2. So Tare’s choice turns to be not so popular among Milan Fans, how could he down playing Gimenez…
Gimenez need adaptation a little bit longer… Once he score, I think he can’t be stopped scoring…

    Forza Gimenez…

  3. But people keep telling me Tare is fighting against Furlani and Moncada for Allegri, something along that way. To me it seems that Allegri is struggling to get what he wants from this trio. His statements really sound like that.

    1. Only they know what happens behind the doors, but one thing is for sure – they are not working together as a team, similar to those on the field last season.

        1. He’s fighting Furlani through the media, through Pedulla for one. LOL!!! In the pressers he’s saying all the right things. I love this about him.

    2. 100% Allegri is fighting. I just can’t figure out what side Tare is on. I think he’s stuck in the middle because he adores Max but is employed by The Weasel …

    3. Or nobody has a clue and the media are just stirring?

The media would be better off focusing their efforts on uncovering all of the corruption in football rather than trying to stir up gossip.

I suppose the former involves hard work.

  4. I want dovbyk because he fits allegris system and he’s the exact type of player he wants but I also want to keep gimenez because he’s good but lacking confidence, sign dovbyk, akanji, and rabiot sell Adli and bennacer then we are done for the summer

  5. my only concern about Dovbyk is that he is 28 , 4 years older than Santi. But is it is only a season long loan like what we did with Tammy then I guess that could be okay because then we get someone who gets goals ( hopefully ) for this season and then next summer we can go all out on a striker , someone like kean .

    1. You talk about age as if these players are going to stay at Milan for more than a season….

Giminez lasted less than 6 months!

  6. Enough with this nonsense… What do you expect allegri to say??? “Yeah he is not good we dont want him.” And then if the deal falls off, he will have an unmotivated player on the bench. The coach will always give all the player at his disposal the feeling that they are needed, but for the management it’s a different story that’s all.

    1. “What do you expect allegri to say??? “Yeah he is not good we dont want him.” ” funny you say that because that’s almost exactly what Tare said about Giminez smh 🤦‍♂️

  7. I can guarantee you that the animosity towards Santi is because of the clash in training that got Jashari injured. Due to him being out for 3 months, Tare won’t be praised for such a great transfer.

  8. Keep Santi. I believe in the boy. You can’t judge him on basis on 6 months and playing in team which had a disastrous structure and everything went downhill. He showed he can score. Just needs the ball in the area a lot and then some confidence to go with it which the media and club doesn’t give him at the moment. I hope he says that isn’t going anywhere and will fight for his place. He should know let the club know that they paid a lot for him 7 months ago so they will not be able toe bench him. Forza Santi Forza Milan

    1. I agree we could have had a top striker last season and I still don’t think we would’ve finished in the top 4 or even 5 with our defensive errors

  9. I sense Tare is just bitter towards Santi. He is not saying anything about Estupinan displaying immaturity on the pitch..

    1. That’s because Ecuadorean was brought in under his watch, while the Mexican was from the “previous” regime. They are both poor in their positions.

  10. This is just a journalist try to write something out of nothing. Meanwhile have you guys taken time to ask yourself this question If Roma striker is doing well in his club and scoring goals will Roma management even listen to Milan?

  11. This is not a good look. Santi only arrived in January and played descent scoring some goals. I believe he will come good but he must have the backing of the management. You have to create a positive environment

    1. Yes but don’t you know Milan HAVE to sign a new striker every 6 months.

It’s in the constitution or something.

  12. Both don’t want Gimenez.
Tare is being honest with the media while Allegri is being fake with the media when discussing Gimenez.

  13. Z I think you are right. Tare probably regrets being so publicly honest though. Some conversations are better off left in your head.

  14. What a fkn mess. Embarassing for such a prestigious club.

CEO wants one thing; SP another; manager another.

One wants Santi; one Dovbyk; the other Dusan

    WTF is going on? 🤣🤣🤣

We are so LOST. Zero planning on the market. Furlani sells and doesn’t buy what the manager wants. Then realizes we are screwed and now we are left with the SCRAPS of players teams want to Dump – Joe Gomez, Dovbyk (4 goals????) etc….

Did Max wants Nkunku??? When asked where he will play him Max said “I don’t know” – hahahahaha!!! Hardly a player he asked for!

Do you think Max asked for Atenkame??? I highly doubt it. Did he want to sell Thiaw?? His only ball playing CB? NO. But we sold anyways and replaced him w another young prospect.

This is what happens when you have NO PLAN and your club is run by a BANKER – just looking to sell our talent and replace them with bargain deals or players with potential for resale value. I’m sure TARE was trying to get the players Max wanted but has been overruled time and time again by that RAT Furlani.

    Hilarious

    1. Surely if in doubt you just stay put?

Like imagine Milan hadn’t bought or sold ANYONE in the past 3 seasons.

They’d probably be better off football wise and financially.

The likes of Tonali, Krunic and Benaccer would be coming into their 5-6th seasons at the club.

They’d have an established backline with Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori and Theo finishing each other’s sentences.

All of the drama from last season wouldn’t have happened.

They’d be short a striker because Giroud retired.

Really if you think about it all Milan needed to sign in the past 3 seasons was a 35 goal a season striker.

But instead they’ve had 3 x midfield revolution, and forced out 7 (SEVEN!) FBs in just a year. Plus about 4-5 strikers.

And most of those transfers were celebrated by the fans.

      Good times.
