Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews) journalist and correspondent Emanuele Baiocchini commented on the latest news and updates regarding Milan’s summer window. He stated that Igli Tare ‘has a lot of work to do’ one week from the team departing for their preseason tour.
“Priority is on the flanks. Alex Jimenez is the only player currently available, but something will happen on the right. From what we know, there will be a new offer for Guela Douè, around €20-25m,” he said.
“On the left, a transfer target, Archie Brown, has fallen through. It was a transfer opportunity; it would have been a good deal for Milan.
“What would Allegri like? I think he wants a smaller squad, trimmed down in the right way. There are several players who wouldn’t fit into the project, like Okafor, Chukwueze, and Musah.”
Who will be Leao backup if Saeleamaker is Pulisic backup.

but Jimenez is definitely more attacker than a defender… correct me if I’m wrong, in one of the interviews Allegri did mention him
I think Allegri sees Jimenez and Saelemaekers as backups to Leao and Pulisic. Both can play either left wing or right wing. Both can also play right back if needed, especially later in a game when chasing goals, or against weaker teams. Against better teams they are not good enough defensively.
So I assume they are looking for a RB and LB that are better defensively to be starters.
Robertson would be a smart buy (would cost same as these randos that we chase) and for RB I still think Dodo makes most sense… 25M, serie A proven, and he wants to move from Fiorentina
