Massimiliano Allegri is once again in the Real Madrid sights, as reports suggest, and the AC Milan boss will now have to make a decision.
In the past week, Allegri’s future has been heavily focused on. Whether he was going to leave on his own accord or not, it has been a big topic of conversation. However, there has been little to suggest that it is too true.
Indeed, during his recent press conferences, he has reaffirmed his love for Milan, stating that he wants to stay for the long-term, which was seemingly the case when he joined last year. In other words, nothing has changed.
Yet, reports would have you believe something else entirely. Now, these reports about his future have a new interested party.
The hesitation factor
As Corriere dello Sport writes this afternoon, following on from the earlier reports about the interest from Real Madrid, a move to Madrid has nearly happened so many times before. Yet, there has never been a reason to say yes.
In fact, when he was on the verge of joining Los Blancos, he turned around for another spell at Juventus. Now, Florentino Perez may try again, hoping for a different result.
Allegri’s contract is until next summer, with the option of another year (2028), but a meeting to reassess things with the Rossoneri seems likely at the end of the season. So the situation could change.
Yet, Allegri has only voiced his love and respect for the club and the fans recently. In other words, it seems difficult to imagine him not continuing his journey in Milano. But, the Real Madrid approach would be enough to ‘make anyone hesitate’. We need to see what his decision will be.

Allegri to Madrid, Xabi Alonso to Milan.

Hey Ben, I heard Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster were also in the running for the Real Madrid job…
Print that next. Do we have any standards here?
It’s Ben of course
I can’t see Allegri and Real Madrid working.
Yes, the Real Madrid fans would love to see their team setup defensively against mid-level teams.
Well they had Mourinho and Xabi Alonso so why not?
I would pay a lot of money to see Allegri go to real madrid but unfortunately I don’t think madrid feels the same way. I love Allegri… he frustrates me on his failure to adapt to a 433 against weaker teams but I do love him. But, he’s too defensively focused for Madrid. This article is nonsense.
