Moretto: ‘He believed’ – Allegri wanted Kean in January despite imminent Fullkrug move

Massimiliano Allegri would have preferred to sign Moise Kean next month to solve the AC Milan striker issues, it seems. However, he will not arrive.

A lot has been said about the striker solutions available to Milan, and it now seems that Niclas Fullkrug will be entrusted to pick up the weight. Whether this is the right thing is a talking point in itself, but he was not the first choice.

Things have moved quickly with the German, probably due to his availability. However, reports have suggested that he was not the number one choice for anyone. Instead, the management would have preferred a move for Joshua Zirkzee.

Allegri’s plea

It seems that Allegri also had other ideas. Instead of the West Ham man, he would have reunited with his former Juventus player Moise Kean, as Matteo Moretto stated on YouTube, via MilanNews.

“I want to tell you an interesting backstory. It is true that Fullkrug in terms of costs and speed of the operation, in terms of technical characteristics, is an attacker, a first striker from the penalty area.

“It was perhaps the easiest name to reach, but there is a name that Massimiliano Allegri would have really wanted. The name for which Allegri spent himself in person, the name that the Milan coach would have liked to add to his squad because he believed it could be a lethal weapon to be added later to those who are the Leao on duty.

“The name we will talk about is a great friend of Rafa Leao. We are talking about Moise Kean, Fiorentina striker, who will surely have an uncertain future in Florence, especially starting in June. It will be difficult for Fiorentina to deprive themselves of Kean in June, but I tell you that Allegri would have wanted him for this January market.

“But the conditions are not feasible, and Milan has now reached the definition for Fullkrug. Among other things, a real revolution is taking place for the whole of Fiorentina.”

Whether he would have arrived is another thing entirely. However, it doesn’t look great that Fullkrug has arrived despite the cries from Allegri for Kean.

  1. These bozos at Milan are already sabotaging Allegri. He didn’t want Nkunku but they wasted 40m signing him when knowing that he’s not a striker or player the coach wanted.

I don’t understand why any management would go against the coach desires.

  2. With this “management” and whiteout Allegri we can finish season in mid table position. These idiots are clowns not managers.

    1. Says the clown who believes everything journalists says, Moise Kean has the same amount of goals as Gimenez and has been struggling whole season but you dont have the brain capacity to think about that

      wtf is this

      1. Fiorentina collapsed as a team… everyone can see that they shouldn’t be 20th place

It would be same as comparing Leao last year and this year or Maignan or any of our star players (except Tiji and Puli those 2 carried us)…

Nkunku situation is very concerning… I thought his vision and creativity could unlock low guards but he literally has been useless the entire season…

Santi with recent injury is staying for sure, Fulkrug I think is already a done deal. the only other tweak we will see there if Nkunku is moved to midfield or sold. but in midfield his ball-retention would be an issue

  3. We are joke club with this managment. Only we not gave our coach attacker what he need 😂😂😂
I never saw something like this.
Every club bring what coach need.

  4. This is all click bait. Putting aside whether Kean is good enough or not, Fiorentina won’t sell him this January. They are in survival mode and it’s all hand on deck. But they will be ripe for raiding in the summer. This means Comuzzo too. If Atalanta don’t qualify for Europe, the market there will be open too. Carnesecchi if Maignan doesn’t renew and Ederson?

  5. “However, it doesn’t look great that Fullkrug has arrived despite the cries from Allegri for Kean.”

LOL. It’s all about the money. It always is. Is there anyone on this planet who thinks Viola would have loaned out their number 1 striker? Eff no! And is there anyone who thinks Milan would or could have paid them what they would have asked for their #1 striker in THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY?
