The AC Milan management are beginning to plan for the summer window, with at least six additions currently planned.
At present Milan have an eight-point cushion over fifth place with five games to go in the Serie A season. That means that – barring a late collapse – return to the Champions League is on the cards, and with it comes the requirement to improve the squad in quantity and quality.

Today’s edition of Il Giornale (via MilanNews) has the headline: ‘Goretzka and 5 others. These are the six players requested by Allegri’. As it suggests, Allegri wants an ambitious and competitive team for next season and has therefore asked his management for six reinforcements.
The first thing he wants is a top midfielder, and the management are moving full steam ahead on Leon Goretzka. Then, the coach is asking for two central defenders, a wing-back and above all two reinforcements for the attack.
After the victory in Verona, Allegri confirmed that discussions are underway regarding the work to be done in the summer, and if at least half a dozen signings are needed then it is better to get ahead on things.
“Yes, we are planning for the future and have been talking for several months. We are analyzing the year with great clarity,” he said.
“The victory in Verona gives us a little more clarity to finish the season well, while still keeping in mind that we haven’t yet reached our objective, and to reflect on what we’ve achieved this year.”

In a league where Scott McTominay is the MVP, Goretzka is a top midfielder.
McTominay did well in a poor Man United side, Goretzka can’t even put up good numbers in the league for stat padders.
Goretzka plays in double pivot as a defensive midfielder. What stats do you expect him to pad playing that deep?

yup. Goretkza deal remind me a bit of Van Bommel. Early 30s and many ppl thought he had lost a step….. but alas, he didnt. he was pretty good.
I’m not crazy about Goretzka but if I’m given the choice of starting either him or Fofana in our midfield, I’m definitely picking the German.
Well you will never see 25-year-old Vitinha play in Serie A these days so stop complaining. The league itself is low-life to begin with, why are we asking for players in the top 20 of their positions? Kravat grew out of this league. Lookman grew out of this league. Quite a few of the excellent Serie A players we used to see are now no longer in this league. They have moved on to better places.

Forward I can’t say…feran tores maybe and use one real No9…sorloth or vlahovic….don’t care

There are certainly players who are going to leave this summer (Füllkrug, Nkunku, Estupiñán and maybe others), so 6 signings, especially if we go back to Europe, seems about right.
And they will get rid of Jashari….
