There have been several rumours about Massimiliano Allegri’s AC Milan future recently, and a report today has offered a bit of clarity.
In the past few days, Milan have faced a few questions about Allegri’s position at the club, and what the future may hold for the parties. There have, as expected, been a few different viewpoints. However, it does not seem like there is any need to worry.

With that said, though, it feels increasingly inevitable that there will be a meeting before the summer mercato to align everybody. After all, there have been several questions about the mercato this season, and clarification is needed for everyone’s sake.
Management complication
If this is to be the issue, it would not be the first time. Last season, there were suggestions that the management had made things difficult at times, and it appears that this is the case again, as Nicolo Schira reported, via MilanWorld.
“Allegri has another two years of contract with Milan. There have been many rumours: Allegri would like to have more say, more strength, a more central role in the market, but I find it hard to think that he can leave Milan.
“There are the usual internal frictions. Tare does one thing, Furlani does another, Moncada is more towards Furlani, and Ibrahimovic is a third line. There is a lot of confusion, and it is the problem of Milan in the last transfer market session, just think of Mateta.
“An operation that Furlani tried to do alone, Tare knew practically nothing, Allegri found out later and hadn’t even fully endorsed it. In May/June, we will also talk about the possible news of the corporate structure.”
In other words, nothing new at Milan and no organization whatsoever. Max could threaten to leave in theory as it would look bad on this joke of a management if an established coach tries to leave because the management is incapable of doing anything.
On the other hand, Max really has no pressure to deliver anything outside of CL placement every season and gets paid 5mil to do so. It is a sweet gig. So articles like this could be a leak from Max’s camp to stir some urgency into the management to strengthen for next season. Seems like common sense, right?
The problem is that our management has proven time and time again that common sense is not that common.
Maybe Allegri does actually want to achieve something beyond a simple 4th place ?
I know his tactics DEFINETLY say otherwise, but he was a coach that was used to win titles every year.
Furthemore, while this year there is no pressure, next year Allegri would face more scrutiny as the public will grow impatient for results and as it’s generally the case, he, not Tare or Furlani or Moncada or Ibra, would be sacked if things turn sour. And since he didn’t get the players he want (Rabiot was a lucky case since he got into a fight with Rowa and Jashari got injured) and had to deal with players he didn’t want (Nkunku, perhaps Ricci as well and almost got Mateta), I think that if he is going to be held accountable next, he should at least have a say and have a squad tailored to his needs and demands.
That Juventus team that got Allegri used to wining titles every year was good enough to win the scudetto vs that competition in serie A even without a coach.
There aren’t many coaches who win titles without good players. Truth to be told, even the coaches we consider legendary had legendary players in their squad.
But even though your point about Juventus is correct, it doesn’t disprove what I said. Allegri was used to winning titles with that great squad, so he might not be satisfied with 4th place.
Sometimes it’s the coach who makes the players become legendary.
Finish in the top four and beat Inter once and you have job security at ACM. I have problems with this aim of just finishing in the the top four. The goal I believe should always be to finish as high as you can. I keep saying, I think this team is underperforming. I honestly don’t think they are as good as Inter. if look beyond being in second place, does anyone not think they could have more points? The win by a nose strategy seems to be faltering lately, will they even finish in second.
Add Nkunku deal to those of Furlani’s. Right now it seems that Rabiot was the only player Allegri got by his request. Modric and Jashari were Tare’s choice with Allegri’s endorsement, while Estupinan, Athekame, Ricci, Odogu are tipical RedBird signings spearheaded by duo Moncada and Furlani.
Does that say Ricci was not Allegri signing and it was RedBird signing by Moncada and Furlani?

Same character lost his sh!t when I said that back passing dude was signed by Milan management before Allegri was even in the picture, that Allegri never wanted him, something that everyone could see by Allegri’s refusal to play him until he had no choice because of injuries.

No. Don’t lie. You said that I hate Italians when I said that management signed him just because he is Italian and that Allegri never wanted him. I listed facts that even though the transfer was agreed, after hiring Allegri Milan put the transfer on hold because Allegri wanted Xhaka and only after they failed getting who Allegri wanted did they go back to sign that bum who would have still be playing for Torino if Milan didn’t overpay to sign him.

I don’t endorse De Zerbi, I just named him as one of the coaches available who many fans would like just because he is a “Milanista”. The dude is opposite of Allegri, he can coach offense but cant coach defense while having the ego of Conte.

We have Mignan,Pulusic,Leao,Rabiot,Modric and Bartesaghi and that not enough for playing at big stage.
I do not see any issues with a coach pushing management to do better. Allegri is a winner and knows he needs better players to actually compete. He has always been hinest in his interviews saying our goal is champions, not the scudetto because he knows we don’t have the squad to push Inter. Hope management backs him and actually give him som top class players. I think we can do something next season of they back him
Ibra said many times last season that Milan have to be a dominant team, with that being the case, there’s no way he can enjoy what he’s seeing from Allegri (or wanted him in the first place). But I’m not sure how much of a say Ibra has.
Does no one else realise that – aside from playing the worst football I’ve ever seen – Allergi is only interested in players that have little or zero resale value? Say what you will about Moncada but at least we can recoup our investment when he gets it wrong. If Allegri has his way he will cripple the club for the next 5-10 years
