Ambrosini says Atletico clash will be ‘different’ but Milan will ‘play their game’

AC Milan claimed all three points yesterday and thus got their revenge on Spezia after losing that fixture 2-0 last season. Now, the Rossoneri will have to recharge their batteries as a tough week awaits.

On Tuesday evening, Stefano Pioli’s men will face Atletico Madrid in the second round of the Champions League group stage. After the defeat to Liverpool, they need to come away with at least one point from this game.

Speaking live on DAZN, as cited by MilanNews, former Milan midfielder spoke about the game. He stated that it will be different from the one against Liverpool, but also made it clear that the Rossoneri will play their game.

“The match with Atletico Madrid will be different compared to the Liverpool one. Milan will play their game, though, even if the opponents are different. If you can stay in the game, with two or three situations you can find yourself in front,” he stated.

Hopefully, the Rossoneri will be a bit more solid at the back on Tuesday as there wasn’t much wrong with the attack against Liverpool. At least not the effectivity. They will need to be at their best to succeed, though.
