Ruben Amorim has so far opted to make changes to his starting XI for each game, and it seems his testing period is not over.
As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) write this morning, Amorim has carried out several experiments with his Milan side so far. There are various reasons for this, from workload management to imposing his ideas, as well as players not being at their best physically yet.

There are certain things though that have not yet fully convinced him, and make the Portuguese coach believe he is yet to find the right formula. The four changes to the XI for the Juventus game stand as proof of this.
The search continues
For example, in the first game at San Siro against Venezia, Amorim was not happy with the defensive phase. In the end the Rossoneri managed a clean sheet but they gave the visitors a lot of space to attack, and on another day they could and probably should have scored.

Then on Sunday, against Juventus, Amorim believes that the team were lacking in the management of ball during the possession phase. They faced problems in creating goal-scoring opportunities, and then after taking the lead they were unable to sustain a period of control.
The manager will therefore continue to work to improve things at Milanello, and will do so by experimenting with rotations and game management. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that further changes will come against Lazio.
In the meantime, the principles of the style he wants to play will be clearer in the players’ heads and those who are not yet 100% will get closer to peak condition, so we should increasingly see a well-defined team.

Maybe play wingbacks at wingback and forwards at forward?
Here is an experiment. Don’t play second tier players like Estupinan, RLC and Musah. He should have just watched film on these guys and Come to the conclusion already. You don’t need to be a genius.
Everything is an experiment until his find his optimal 11. And that might even change game-to-game. The only real geniuses are the ones on these threads thinking they can do a better job 😉
Musah is literally our best midfielder since the start of the season. Estupinan i 10X time the player that overrated Barthesagi is.
This is how far we’ve come as Milan. Musah and Estu didn’t even start for their national teams (which is not even a high bar). The last time Estupinan played good football was in 2023. Musah can only run with zero football IQ to understand the game and make decisions in a game.
Musah brings great energy and pace to midfield, both of which Modric & Rabiot is lacking.
Agree with rlc and Mr estupid but musah is actually doin a very decent job and has a window to improve further..give cred where is due
Not sure if you’ve watched the games or not but Musah has actually been solid this year. It’s crucial to have someone in that position that can beat his man and break the line. Now do I want to see him shoot absolutely not but as the other person said give some credit where it’s do!
I just don’t think rabiot at AMC position is not a good way to utilize him. Bring him back to the double pivot. AMC position play moreira/chuku or even that kid Hutchinson. Don’t know whats the hold up with Puli but we need him in order to have players to rotate in those positions. This is an incomplete team so making rabiot play at AMC, moreira to fight for the same position with chuku is making the team even more thin in certain areas.
I don’t see a fix for the defense if Gila gets injured to be honest, he is the only solid cb for this system De winter had a great game against Juve but Gila is above all other defenders that we have so not signing another startingcb/upgrade to the current cbs is the biggest mistake which has potential to completely derail the season.
Redbird didn’t act differently at all this mercato when it comes to put the pedal to the metal and played it safe which will come back and bite us in the a*s again.
As always Forza Milan and FY Gerry!
How do I buy defender when our squad was too large
Rabiot LCM, Musah RCM. I’d like to see that.
Serie A has just started let’s give him and the boys space and time he will find winning combination and competitive Xi Forza milan
Tomori needs to play instead of terrible terriciano
Most definitely. Tomori is reckless, but has the quality.
It was dumb move by Amorim to put yet another player out of player out of position for the most important chunk for the game. Like really dumb.
Terriciano should not even be in Serie A. He’s garbage
