It is clear that Rafael wants to leave AC Milan by now, which has been known for a while. However, there may still be a chance.
There have been talks about Leao’s future for some time now; most of it has been done by the winger, though, which has soured the relationship. Yet, it feels like there would be one final chance waiting for him at Milan.

Hiring a Portuguese coach would not be enough for him. After all, he has struggled with the only other two that he has encountered. Nevertheless, Gazzetta dello Sport have looked at the situation in this morning’s edition, as seen below.
Could Leao’s future change?
With Amorim’s 3-4-3/3-4-2-1 system, talks about Leao are only going to occur. Indeed, it seems all parties are clear. He wants to go, the Rossoneri want to sell. It should be a non-starter.
However, he could be revived by the Portuguese. So far, no offers have arrived for the star and there is a reality where he may have to remain if no one is willing to match the valuation placed on him.
Though, that idea could be tempting. He would not return to being a pure winger, but he would be based out wide, with a need to come into the centre at the right moments. In other words, a comfortable middle ground. It couldn’t be ruled out as an option…
Other stars
An attacking style of coach, Amorim’s football is going to be built on that three-back system and he will press relentlessly. Compared to Allegri’s system, the new Milan will ‘inhabit a different planet’.
Strahinja Pavlovic and Christian Pulisic are expected to be the stars of the team, whilst Alexis Saelemaekers possesses the skills to feature heavily again. Also, keep an eye on Ardon Jashari, who could become a project for Amorim…

There is no star in Milan, maybe some good players like Maignan or Pavlovic but we don’t have a single world class player and it’s a reality we need to accept and correct
Rabiot and Pulisic? Maignan is a world class GK.
Let’s move on. We have Pulisic and Knunku as starter, Cisse and Chuku as replacement. If Chuku goes we try to get another player to rotate.
Nkunku (not Knunku, you don’t even know his name) won’t be a starter.
Maignan is the only World Class player. He very much is at that level
Funniest thing I’ve seen today is Tonali going to Spurs, that boy really doesn’t care about anything outside of money
Remember Fonseca and Leao’s drink break scandal.
Nobody’s gonna fix Leao. the guy doesn’t have the hunger playing at Milan.
This guy should just leave. Both parties are done. No need creating headaches for the new manager trying to make him who he doesn’t want to become.
I was disapointed by the Amorin apointment too, but it has one big positive.
We have squad exactly for Amorin (except the leao 😀 )
– Our defenders are best in 3 man system.
– We dont have attakcing midfielders like Bruno, that might be played out of position. I think our midfielders are suited for double pivot (or allegris 3 man midfield too). Jashari, Ricii, Rabiot, Fofana, …. Commotto or even Loftus Cheek, I think Amorin have good pool of midfielders and he will find the ones he like here, and they all might be suited by his style of play.
– Our attackers which suffered the most last season, being played either out of position, and in the park the bus tactic, will have now more space on the wings, pulisic and nkunku will love it.
Thou I still think Leao should be sold, for morale reasons, and for the simple fact, that amorin will require a lot running. And for that someone who is more attacking or wide midfielder than a pure winger is way better.
The problem for Leão would be the high press. The things is, most of the good teams utilize it on and off during a game.
He needs wingbacks for his style. And a striker. The rest is there
And 2 CB. De winter and tomori are not Milan level
He will get a striker and new wingbacks and use the same players from last season.
Oh no please. Leo is Leo. He won’t change. His presence is one of Milan’s issue beside Cardinale and Ibrahimovic
