Ruben Amorim is taking a look at what he has in the AC Milan squad, though there are two players he has already been disappointed by.
On his YouTube channel, Carlo Pellegatti (via MilanNews) addressed some of the rumours that have been doing the rounds in the past few days regarding the midfield pair of Samuele Ricci and Yunus Musah.

“It seems that Milan has offered Musah to Lazio. There are rumors, but they’re not supported by anything because I don’t know who Amorim, who is very careful with his communication, especially regarding his players, would confess to that he wouldn’t be happy with Ricci and Musah.
“I repeat, I read it, but it seems strange to me that Amorim would confess this to anyone, but Musah was indeed offered to Lazio.”
Ricci and Musah: Destined for exits?
On Monday, it was reported by Calciomercato.com that Ricci’s agent had begun offering him around to clubs like Juventus and Atalanta. It seems as though he is not a big part of Amorim’s plans for next season and he doesn’t foresee a role in his 3-4-2-1.
Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport stated that Musah is a potential option for Lazio. Gennaro Gattuso is a fan of the American, who he worked with at Valencia, and there is a bid worth €20m being prepared from the capital club.
It couldn’t be simpler than this. Ricci or/and Ardon have to go, Estupinan & Loftus-butt-Cheek aka the parasite must go ASAP, Tomori needs to go and so do Odogu (loan the young man, who cares about that in the end, really), Leao and Gimenez, Bondo and/or Musah, one of them could remain but not both, no. As for, in other words, when in comes to Chukwueze, he could stay and be a useful part of the squad, I’m sure of that. Fofana? I don’t know, it seems to me that he isn’t suited for this formation and that there’s no place for him at all considering that Modric is close to a renewal and one of Ardon and Ricci is probably going to stay. GET TO WORK.
Chukwueze has no use in this style of play, not as AM not as RWB, he isn’t intelligent enough to lock down that spot.
I read Tiago Santos was offered to Milan, that is the player we need. Chukwueze can go.
Tiago Santos is a baller, Milan should get ASAP.
As a RWB no(t) but as an AMRC, who knows? I would like to see Tiago Santos at Milan, he’s my suggestion as well for a long time now, actually, my first option.
Many Serie A teams play with a low block, and would not give space for Chukwueze to run into, a player with good close control and passing vision would be more ideal than a runner like Chukwueze.
I don’t think he will explode in Serie A, the league doesn’t suit his style of play.
Only option for Chukwueze is to become an attacking Lwb (just like Moses became rwb under Conte at chelsea). He is good at running, hugging the touchline, but poor in tight spaces so can’t attack the right central pocket like nkunku and pulisic.
I mean, even saka started as LM/LW/Lwb, if chuku can’t dribble on the side of his strong foot (Left), run at defenders and deliver quality crosses & through passes then he is good enough for milan and other top Italian clubs

Here we move on to the topic of redundant players. A good manager is one who knows how to manage the outgoing market, finding a place for all the players with their bags packed. AC MILAN INCOMING TRANSFER MARKET
AC Milan is trying to sell some excess players to create space and recoup financial resources, which will kick off the second phase of acquisitions.

Disappointed is a strong word so early on in the assessment stage given that he wanted to look at everybody, unless his decision is either influenced by old videos from last season or he does not regard them as regulars, hence why keep them around. There is the matter of squad depth that needs to be considered where a Ricci could be of help and then there are players that are simply deadwood that need to be moved along. Hope we do not sell players that will help with depth unless we can replace them sufficiently. But if the coach makes these call who are we to question him. We hope there is a plan and that management are on board…
Rather see Ricci go than Jashari.
To everyone in this chat who are talking all this stupidness about ricci . I want to know why would anyone sell ricci and keep Modric?
Modric is a much better player. Raises the quality of midfield play, his passing is next level and he has great positioning and controls the space he is in by seeking the ball and looking for the best pass. great decision making with and without the ball…Ricci has not proven that he can do any of those things that are critical to Milan’s play.
Firstly Modric is 40yrs old and Ricci is 24. At this point Modric could be Ricci’s father. The stupid coach wasn’t playing Ricci that was the issue. He’s a quality player who was being abused by an idiot coach. This is the same as when Milan sold Reijnders to Man City and got Modric. It’s stupidity at the highest level and does nothing for a team that had 3 coaches in 2 years. That is what you call working backwards.
Milan should accept a loan as 10m with option to buy at 10m
If this rumour are true then Ruben Amorim will not learn from past mistake same thing he did at Man United with Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte. While will they sell Ricci for who?
I do not comment here a lot, but someone once said, Milan should sell Ricci for Nicolò Fagioli or Emerson (injury prone).
If Fagioli is really that good, while did Juventus let him go to Florentina, and other coaches don’t want to sign. At least, Atalanta wants to sign Ricci. Before Man City sign Nico Gonzalez last season when Rodri was injured. Pep Guardiola want Ricci to backup Rodri before his return, but Ricci wants Milan so he can have more playing time.
Ricci & Jashri must stay. Some fans don’t understand that Ricci & Jashari are different players. Ricci is a DM while Jashari is more CM(from his previous club) even sometimes plays DM.
Fans must understand must of our players don’t play their natural position, which really affects them.
Betting on Modric 41 with 1year contract & Rabiot 31 only is insane. We can’t bet this player for long.
If any good offer comes for Rabiot, he will leave. Milan needs Ricci for squad list/home players for competition. Some fans will say Como has no Italian, but playing in Champions League will push them to have.
Milan must sell like of Leao, Tomori, Loftus-Cheek, Bondo, Pulisic if he did not sign new deal, and if Samuel Chukwueze is not use as a natural winger, he’s useless has wingback.
Both Kerim Alajbegović (RW) and Konstantinos Karetsas (AM/LW) are different players with different characteristics; They are both good young players.
If Leao & Pulisic leaves, both players will be good addition. But, if Leao leave, Kerim Alajbegović is a good idea.
Amorim is just another accident waiting to happen. All the players who Milan sell go on to have great future under coaches will common sense and then these same players come back to punish Milan. Good players always come to us but simple minded coaches is our problem. All Milan needed to do was tighten up the defense and play the players in their respective positions and we would have won the league. Maldini was correct in his analysis but we dismissed him and brought a group of lost sheep to manage our affairs so now we must suffer.
We have too many midfielders, but Jashari, Ricci, Modric, and Rabiot are the core of our midfield. If we sell Ricci, then we need a replacement. Loftus Cheek and musah don’t fit in the current squad and should be sold. Fofana could probably be sold as well, unless there’s a need for 5 CM/DMs for 2 positions.
Why would you sell one of the best midfielders in Italy? And to who?
I don’t think many consider him one of the best….Gattuso rarely played Ricci. He preferred:
Tonali
Barella
Cristante
Locatelli
Pelligrini
and even Pisili
Ricci is not in the same class as Tonali or Barella, but not far behind the rest. But he rarely played, so thats Allegri, Gattuso and now Amorim who he is failing to convince.
he only advantage all these other players that you mentioned have on Ricci is that they have a coach who believes in their ability. And all of them are also older that Ricci. The system at Milan right now destroys good players and that why I believe in the genius of Maldini in finding quality players and player development.
I can’t comprehend selling Fofana and keeping Ricci. Fofana is a far better player. But maybe Ricci will explode and have a super season. I’d love Milan to push for Ederson or Cassado. Either would definitely improve the team.
