There was no Friday relaxation for the AC Milan squad at Milanello today as they had perhaps their most intense session yet.
This is the first week of training under the new head coach Ruben Amorim and he has been putting the players through their paces in the red hot weather. Monday’s raduno provided some interesting indications, but it is just the start of a multi-week journey.

MilanNews report that the team this morning at Milanello, having met for the usual breakfast at 08:30 CEST. It was a rather ‘long and intense’ session for the Rossoneri in the sun, lasting over two hours overall.
Tomorrow the players will train again in the morning, while a joint training session with Milan Futuro is confirmed for Sunday. A game between the two – as always happens in these cases – will take place behind closed doors and will therefore not be visible to fans.
As a reminder, Milan have a pretty packed summer in terms of friendlies, not necessarily because of the number of games but also the distances they will travel. There is a derby against Inter in Australia, for example, while they will also face Chelsea in Indonesia.
- July 25: Celtic-Milan in Glasgow, Scotland
- August 5: Milan-Inter in Perth, Australia
- August 8: Chelsea-Milan in Jakarta, Indonesia
- August 15: Man Utd-Milan in Wroclaw, Poland

Wow, long travel instead of staying in Milan to practice with a new manager, new system, and new players. Just brilliant.
They will be in a training camp in Perth for several days before the Inter game.
But I acknowledge your point that it is a lot of travel.
It’s all about the Benjamins in football, wellbeing of the players comes second. They’re the tools.
