AC Milan’s midfield could take on a Scandinavian feel if Ruben Amorim gets two of the names that have been mentioned in transfer talks.
As we wrote about in a recent tactical analysis regarding the new head coach, he has a very set 3-4-2-1 system that requires specific characteristics for each role. So, as with any incoming manager, the Portuguese will have made his assessments on those currently in the squad, subsequently asking for reinforcements in areas deemed needed.

A Dane and a Swede
Amorim operates with a more defensive-minded playing in his double pivot and a box-to-box presence. Sometimes, the latter can operate as one of the attacking midfielders behind the striker, like Bruno Fernandes who played both roles at Manchester United under him.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the midfield is an area that Amorim feels needs work and Lucas Bergvall has emerged as a potential target. The young Swede at Tottenham is considered a promising investment for the future and could be affordable.
Meanwhile, Morten Hjulmand is a true Amorim protégé and he would love to have him as that aforementioned midfield anchor. However, the Dane is valued by Sporting CP at a price that – at least currently – appears out of reach for Milan.
The feeling is that the next few weeks will be crucial. Before completing the other positions, Milan wants to solve the centre-forward puzzle. For Amorim, this is where the Rossoneri’s new identity will start from, and Goncalo Ramos is the chosen name.

For that 50m u could get Hjulmand and maybe even Bergvall but no you want a Striker that scored 12 in 45 apps. Origi 3.0 since the 2.0 Gimenez got that.
If they continue like this it will be another disaster like the Chinese owners. Why God putting all these problems to Milan what did they do?
Bro, you’re actually sounding more clueless than the word clueless. Allow Amorim go for his players, and stop whining like a pregnant woman in her first trimester.
Preach, bruh ‼️
Dum*a**
How am I clueless? Look what I comment I’m talking about performance and u don’t care !
Don’t Bother yourself with Football you don’t know anything.
55 m for 12 goals in 45 apps scored mostly after he be subbed on which u should remind you another player Milan Sign I’ll give you a clue Ex Liverpool Player Striker from Belgium His name is Divock.
You are the clueless clearly fckn sheep for this management with no opinion and can’t criticize just a follower wow.
Many of you call yourself Milan fans and never want something good for your team… at this stage of football money speaks alot not that erra of Maldini and Co, football is more advance now, Milan at this level we should be able to spend as a top team we name..So stop saying one amount is too much for a player
Well it is 12 goals in 45 apps= 55m?
We bought Gimenez from Feyenoord with less money and he had way better performance.
Many of Milan fans are sheep for this management with no opinion at all. Blindly agree with anything they decide and can’t see a valid criticizing.
If they wanna spend they should spend on someone who deserves it. They spend 42 m for a Chelsea reject who didn’t even scored enough to worth that money.
Other big teams wouldn’t tricked so badly but yh some of these Milan Fans 😂
I respectfully disagree. I am a Milan/Psg and I want to state that, besides Giroud, this might be one of the best st we had for a while. The fact that Enrique had not played him that much, and the fact that he is a sub(meaning he has not played 90 min games always) makes him a potential banger. He knows how to position himself very well and finish, something that Gimenez did not do. Have patience. Atletico Madrid paid millions for Alvarez while being a Man City sub and how did that work out? I am not saying he is the best, but I feel like all this hate is just forced atp. If they would get Kean, fans would hate that he did not get Retegui or vice versa. Let the man perform and then judge.
All the best brother
ok i can respect that but it is just reminds me of Origi same thing score good amount of goals as a sub for liverpool and u know he failed badly so badly that he was in the academy playing. 55m maybe 70m is too much for a player like him times have changed but no ucl money so less europa league money its jsut too much and with that money plus nkunku deal they could have found players to fill the holes so the coach would have a complete squad he can rotate its good they backed him but they will use him as a scapegoat (amorim) and fire him asap. lastly how much budget they will put when 55m are gone now?
much love bruh
