For Ruben Amorim, it would be a big signing and Gazzetta dello Sport writes this morning that the Portuguese is ‘especially’ waiting for him, after landing in Milano yesterday afternoon, as seen below. Whilst their most recent bid was rejected, it is a small setback before the increasingly inevitable white smoke arrives.
Amorim hopes to have the new defender signed this week and then he will focus on his next signing.

According to the paper this morning, the name of Konstantinos Karetsas is intriguing the club and he could slot into one of the two #10 roles behind the striker. The ‘flamboyant’ Greek has already made more than a century of appearances for club and country and would be available for €40 million.
The future of Rafael Leao will play a part in the negotiations, as it seems difficult to make the move without a major sale. Especially with the Belgian club considering him a ‘golden boy’ and with Europe’s elite also tracking him…
Amorim will place his requests, now it is just about different pieces falling into place.
I’d move in for Karetsas as long as they bring someone more experienced alogside him and give him a supporting role for him to develope right. Giving an 18yo a starting role and expect to produce right away in a new leage is impossible task to achieve. So im down for him if they bring someone like Brahim, Pellegrini or Brandt for example…
we already have Pulisic, Nkunku and Chukwueze as those experienced players, no need for more. those 3, Karetsas and Alphadjo Cissè – it would be fine
Of course we need more and we need two more, Chukwueze will probably sold cause he’s a (pure) winger.
