The international break will see a lot of players jet off away from Milanello, but some will remain to work under Ruben Amorim.
As we highlighted last night, Milan will be the most impacted Serie A team when it comes to international call-ups during the current break. The Rossoneri have 15 players heading to represent their national team, with only Como having the same amount.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) report this morning that with so many players away Amorim has decided to schedule the team’s return to training for next Tuesday. Despite the depleted squad, key players remain at Milanello.
Mario Gila has never truly been in the Spanish national team’s plans (a single call-up without making his debut in 2025), so he is free during this break to focus solely on Milan and on reaching peak fitness.
The US national team also opted not to call up Christian Pulisic, who only made his first start for the Rossoneri in the last league match against Lecce. Yunus Musah, however, has returned to the USA squad after an absence.
There is a similar shift regarding the Belgian national team (Italy’s next opponent) which includes Koni De Winter and new signing Diego Moreira (Milan’s top scorer with three goals) but not Alexis Saelemaekers.
