Christian Pulisic has played no minutes this season and Ruben Amorim was asked why the AC Milan star has not yet featured in today’s press conference.
Pulisic’s 2026 hasn’t been easy. For Milan, he didn’t score a goal in the second half of the season and his World Cup was stop-start with injury issues. Then, his return to club football has also been halted by injury.

It’s been a difficult nine months so far, but Amorim remains positive that the American can have a positive impact on his team. However, he hasn’t given him a chance to show as much on the field just yet.
Amorim’s Pulisic situation
Despite not seeing the pitch yet this season, Amorim is clearly a big fan of the American and what he can bring to the Portuguese’s team. With his lack of minutes so far this season, the coach was asked about his plans for Pulisic’s introduction, as MilanNews relayed.
“You’ll see him tomorrow. I don’t know if he’ll be a starter or come on during the game. I think he’ll play a few minutes. I really like him as a player.
“He’s upset because he’s had zero minutes so far, and I like that in my players. Don’t forget he had an injury in the summer, and then in the first training session he had a knock and stopped.
“I won’t remove anyone who’s doing well just to name a player: this is my way of managing the group, and I’ll die with these principles. Pulisic is very important to me. After the international break, there are eight weeks with three games a week: everyone will be tired from all the playing time.
“Pulisic is important and will play a lot of games. But you have to understand the context and my history to understand why I make certain choices. But you’ll see Pulisic this weekend.”
Right now, it would seem that Alphadjo Cisse will start again, but things can obviously change late on.

Which one is it? My money is on the latter but it’s not my call and my place to decide 🙂
If he doesn’t want to play him then he shouldn’t.
I hope he’s just not reacting to the press and internet commentary, or Cardinale.
If he’s only playing him to appease Cardinals or the press then he shouldn’t play him. And if that’s the case then he’s lying about how he feels about Pulisic as an important player on the team. And further, that should have made him available to an offer from Roma. Chances are Pulisic will not play well under
Amorim. Who would want to be on a team when the coach doesn’t think much of you.
Advise for Pulisic. Ask to be sold by the winter. This coach is absolute buffoon. A stubborn fool who will keep him on the bench just out of spite and to show everyone else that he knows best.
Everyone thinks Rabiot is not a 10… I’ll show them,
Everyone thinks Pulisic should be starting at that position… I’ll show them.
Amorim is an arrogant clown who’s confidence far exceeds his competence. Pulisic has nothing to prove to this clown. He’s already proven himself to be one of the best in Serie A. Amorim is the one with something to prove after his disastrous stint at United which apparently has not humbled him at all.
Pulisic deserves better treatment than he has gotten at Milan. Now on his 5th different head coach in 4 seasons. Every one of them dumber than the previous one. Jump off this sinking ship.
