Ancelotti makes his allegiances clear: “I am a Milan fan and a Madrid fan”

Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he remains an AC Milan fan to this day, as well as being a supporter of his current club Real Madrid.

Ancelotti is a man who needs little introduction given that he is regarded by many as being among greatest managers of all time thanks to having won the Champions League four times as coach (twice with AC Milan and twice with Real Madrid) among countless other honours.

As a player he won the Champions League twice with Milan, making him one of eight people to have won the European Cup or Champions League as both a player and a manager, and he is currently on the hunt for his 10th trophy with Real Madrid.

Ancelotti spoke during an interview with DAZN and he was asked about which team he supports, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“I am a Milan fan and a Madrid fan, with a percentage of 50:50. I played and coached Milan, Real represents the best in the world of football. They are the two clubs I am closest to,” he said.

“My future? Last year, by winning the Champions League, we experienced sensations we have never experienced before and the goal is to get an encore. I want to try to stay here as long as possible because I’m happy at Real. Then after that we don’t know.”
