AC Milan are currently in talks over the signing of André from Corinthians, and it could force Youssouf Fofana out.
As Calciomercato.com report, Fofana has had some positive moments this season, but also some significant setbacks. His late-game slip-up against Lazio, as well as his missed tap-in during Milan-Genoa have seen the Frenchman in and out of the side.

Massimiliano Allegri played the role of ‘psychologist’, trying to manage the Frenchman’s state of mind, choosing to sit out a few matches to let things cool down before reinstating him from minute one. His performance against Cremonese was positive, and he should have had two assists.
The André factor
Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada have reached an agreement with the agents of André, a talented Brazilian midfielder who is 19 years of age and have documents signed by the Corinthians board of directors.
The deal is worth approximately €15m in fixed terms, plus €2m in bonuses and a 20% resale clause. All that is missing is for the president of the Brazilian club Omar Stabile to sign off on it, but he is standing firm and wants €25m.
If the green light were to arrive for Andre, the Fofana issue could reopen and it ‘wouldn’t make Allegri jump for joy’. The coach likes the former Monaco man and wasn’t promptly notified of the purchase of a player who is young and inexperienced for such a level.
Fofana’s plan is to stay at Milan, and only if he receives a truly advantageous offer from a club of the same calibre could he question this position. Galatasaray are still keen having made a winter approach, but he isn’t open to it, at least for now.
Youssouf also has a strong Premier League market: several clubs have made in-depth inquiries, but haven’t made a move due to the player’s hesitation. In order to sell, the asking price is ‘certainly no less than €30m’.

from what ive hear an attacking player displacing a defensive player? not what we need
Andre is a defensive midfielder
Fofana or RLC i believe it’ll be more for RLC than Fofana
Rabbiot-Modric-Fofana midfield A
Andre-Jashari-Ricci midfield B
RLC out and Bondo loan again or sold. Zeroli and Comoto out on loan. Idk if I like that but it makes more sense rather than sell Fofana
Where does Cisse fit?
Cisse at Futuro for at least half a year… just because he did 6 months great at Serie B doesn’t mean anything. in winter he is either moved up or loaned out
The only viable swap + cash, would be for Tonali.
Why not give a chance to Comoto? Or Zeroli?
Comotto needs time and hopefully in Serie A next year so when Modric leaves, Jashari is ready and Comotto is the sub
Comotto is 17 years old. Better for him to play regularly in serie B level, rather than sit most of the time on serie A bench. Zeroli isn’t good enough, he barely get minutes this season in serie B.
Whoever comes up with this absurdities wants to finish our beloved Club I swear! A 19 year old untested boy phasing out an experienced International who happens to play for arguably the best National team currently? God in heaven above I pray Furlani doesn’t see these rumors and get ideas!
When was the last time you saw Fofana playing for the French national team?
The last 19 year old untested Brazilian kid we had was Kaka and we got him for 9m, Arsenal bagged Gilberto Silva, “untested” World Cup winner and one of the greatest footballers in the history of Arsenal. A player of Fofana’s age that hasn’t shown consistency nor footballing intelligence is just a long term liability.
Kaka was 21 when Milan signed him. The previous summer he was part of the Brazil NT that won the world Cup.
Gilberto SIlva was 26 when Arsenal signed him in the same summer he won the World Cup with the Brazil NT.
Andre has played like 15 games total for Corinthians senior team.
Kaka was the water boy at the world cup. When he came to Milan 0 people heard of him. I still remember Italian newspapers ridiculing him because of the name Kaka.
Fofana, whatever his defensive attributes may be, is a very inconsistent player, both offensively and defensively. As is RLC. So if we’re trying to upgrade the squad we need to do so with consistent players like Rabiot. I don’t know if Andre is that or not? But he’s a lot younger than Fofana with ACRES of room for development and improvement …
In other words: nobody knows anything about what Milan actually want to do and so are just making 💩 up for clicks. Well here you go Ollie click click FMer 😂😂😂
People forget Kleberson and Gilberto Silva were also pretty damn young at the 2002 World Cup and were incredible, the idiocy of the drunk at Manchester Ruined Kleberson who was a generational talent, Gilberto Silva became one of the greatest defensive midfielders in the history of Brazilian football. It’s always worth a shot, he can do no worse than Fofana, who isn’t exactly Frank Kessie now is he.
Kleberson was 23 while Gilberto SIlva was 26 at the 2002 world cup.
Fofana is key our pkayer but what know dumb fans about it.
How low have we fallen if that clumsy untalented guy is our key player. He’s disastrous and lucky at best. Painful to watch.
Instead of Fofana I would sell RLC.
