ANSA: Link discovered between head of Milan ultras and Napoli clan during investigations

More information is continuing to come to light regarding the relationships that AC Milan and Inter ultras are alleged to have had, a report claims.

It was announced yesterday that the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office had arrested a number of key figures from Inter’s Curva Nord and Milan’s Curva Sud during Monday morning on charges of criminal association, and new developments are constantly emerging.

According to ANSA (via Calciomercato.com), it seems that Inter were aware of the ongoing investigations, as were the leaders of their Curva Nord, who maintained constant dialogue with their counterparts in the Curva Sud.

A wiretap between Marco Ferdico – an Inter ultras leader, currently in prison – and Massimiliano Silva who is a manager in charge of relations with the fans makes it clear that there was a feeling of fear if the first judicial investigations were even to begin.

The topic of discussion was about claiming season tickets for their section the Secondo Anello Verde that were given up by the Irriducibili, a group ousted by intimidation. The goal was to earn as much as possible from the season tickets at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.

Ferdico, faced with the possibility that Giuseppe Marotta and Gianluca Cameruccio would refuse them the tickets, warned Silva that ‘in that case he would demand reasons’. Ferdico would continue to insist on having 1500 tickets from the club for the Champions League 2023 final in Istanbul, requested and obtained, to resell at increased prices.

The Prosecutor’s Office adds that in a conversation on 26 May 2023 with former Nerazzurri icon Marco Materazzi, Ferdico says ‘he met Calhanoglu and Barella, to talk about the critical issues that arose over the ticket affair’ and he ‘even learned of the Turkish footballer’s complaints about the club’s behaviour’.

Furthermore, the investigation revealed ‘significant’ relationships between Luca Lucci, head of the Milan Curva, and the Napoli ultras. In particular, with one of ‘the ultras leaders of the ‘Sanità’ district’ for whom he allegedly procured ‘hundreds of tickets’ for the Champions League quarter-final match intended, ‘at least in part, for members of the city’s mafia clans’.

All the various circumstances, as can be read from the documents of the Prosecutor’s Office and reported by ANSA, will certainly be investigated further.
