Di Marzio: Arsenal forward a ‘top target’ as Milan seek ‘mobile striker’

Another name has emerged as a candidate as AC Milan continuing searching for the right striker: Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus.

When Massimiliano Allegri left Casa Milan on Thursday evening after a three-hour meeting with the Milan management, it was yet another sign that planning for the future is very much a topic being discussed right now.

The main acquisition that the Rossoneri are expected to make in the upcoming mercato is a new striker, one capable of guaranteeing goals. To put things in perspective, Milan have scored six less goals as a team in Serie A than Harry Kane has netted for Bayern Munich this season.

Jesus has risen

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio revealed on Sky Calcio Unplugged, Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is on the list of names that Milan are sorting through. The Brazilian striker is a ‘top target’ and will remain so once the window reopens.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will let him go and under what conditions. The Brazilian – whose contract expires in 2027 – has scored five goals in 25 appearances for the Gunners this season across all competitions.

The management apparently believe that having ‘a mobile striker’ could be the key to unlocking the attack, which has been lacking this season. With Santiago Gimenez out and Niclas Fullkrug arriving in January, Massimiliano Allegri has repeatedly used Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao up front.

Gabriel Jesus could be the right player for the Rossoneri, who are intent on making a mark upon their return to the Champions League, which is now six points away. They want to have a 2026-27 season as protagonists both in Italy and Europe.

  1. Stick to players who are familiar with the League because 4-5 times it’s a miss that the player will be good in Serie A. The management should stop experimenting

In; Retegui, Zirkzee , Palestra, Gila, Milinkovic Savic and Matteo Ruggeri.

Sell: Fofana, Estupinan, Nkunku, Gimenez, Chuku, Musah, Bennacer, Bondo and RLC

If Modric leaves Ederson or Fabian Ruiz

With champions league money and outgoings this should be feasible.

    1. Leao’s laxy аss should be kicked out too!
Musah will come back and will be useful.
I would try to bring from Laxio not only Gila, but Nuno Tavares and Isaksen.

    2. You really think ATM would sell Ruggeri?
Zirkzee turned us down, I’m not so sure
he deserves to play for us anymore but
his profile is surely more than welcome
      for our 3-5-2 formation.

    3. Where are new midfielders (apart from SMS) in this projection of yours?

DC (2), RWB, MC (2-3), LWB, *FW, SC (2); 8 TO 10 NEW

      1. Modric, Cisse, Ricci, Jashari, Rabiot and Savic how many more midfielders do you need ? 6 is enough 2 for each department!!

        1. If you are referring to our Cisse, that’s not serious and nobody is counting on him, the other thing is you don’t have any defensive midfielders among these six, you kind of forgot that. Right mezz’ala?

  2. We need a mobile striker? What category do Leao, Pulisic and Nkunku fall under?

They are all mobile strikers who wonders away from the central area where they are suppose to be.

Jesus is just another Nkunku/Pulisic. I call bs on this one. Sörloth, Lewandowski, Zirkzee and Vlahovic seem like much more likely target

  3. Mateta
    Lukaku
    Zirkzee
    Sorloth
    Lucca
    Jarkson
    Kean
This what milan needs right now

    Midfield
    Fagioli
    Revella
    Fazzini

    Defence
    Gilla
    Dodo
    Nuno travarez
    Paristra
    Parisi
    Calafioli
    If milan can get veratti
