Arsenal, Leicester provide competition for Milan in pursuit of €30m Celtic star – report

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face competition from two Premier League sides for Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer, according to reports from England.

We reported via our mercato expert Vito Angele on Monday that Ajer is one of two targets – alongside Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara – that the Rossoneri consider as an option to become the new partner for captain Alessio Romagnoli.

According to the latest from the Daily Star in England (as cited by MilanLive), the Scottish side are willing to sell if they receive a figure close to €30million, but there is competition.

The paper claims that there is also interest from Arsenal and Leicester, who would have no problems in paying the sum requested by Celtic.

Ajer fits the profile of player that Milan’s owners Elliott Management intend to focus on though, and with the possible departures of a number of players this summer they may just be able to get the funds together.
