Report: Arsenal midfielder remains late market option for Milan

By Euan Burns -

Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi-Lokonga is still viewed by AC Milan as a loan option for late in the summer transfer window, a report claims.

As has been reported by various sections of the English press today, (via Calciomercato.com) the Rossoneri are aware that they could take the Belgian midfielder from the Premier League side on loan very late in the window.

It seems to be an option that they only want to explore if they do not manage to get a deal done for a different midfielder.

A number of players have been heavily linked but individuals such as Raphael Oyedika from FC Midtjylland and Jean Onana from Bordeaux have had bids made for them by Milan.

Now that the deal for a centre-back, MalickThiaw, seems to have been completed, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will be able to pay much more attention to the pursuit of a new backup midfielder.
