Report: Arsenal keen on €80m-rated Paqueta which could lead to money for Milan

By Euan Burns -

Arsenal are very keen on signing Lucas Paqueta from Lyon and AC Milan stand to earn 15% of the transfer fee, a report claims.

As has been reported by Goal France, the Premier League side wants to sign the Brazilian midfielder but Lyon are demanding a fee of €80 million.

Milan are watching the developments very closely because as part of the deal when they sold the Brazilian to the Ligue 1 side, they are entitled to receive 15% of any transfer fee that Lyon receives for him in the future.

That means that if Arsenal did pay that huge fee, which seems unlikely at this stage, the Rossoneri would receive €12 million.

That would be a major boost to the transfer budget for Milan. It has always been clear that Paqueta is an immensely talented player but the 24-year-old couldn’t produce his best form in his year in Italy.

He has been a much better player for Lyon in France.

  2. In what world is Paquetta worth €80 mil? I hope this is true, for Milan’s sake, but it’s HIGHLY UNLIKELY. This dude won’t get sold for half of that
