Tuttosport: Rumours Arsenal are pushing for €55m Milan midfielder are wide of the mark

By Oliver Fisher -

Rumours emerged yesterday suggesting that Arsenal have begun talks with AC Milan over a deal for midfielder Sandro Tonali, but they seem to be wide of the mark.

A number of English sources picked up on a story from a Calciomercato.it video in which a journalist claimed that Arsenal met with Milan officials to discuss a possible deal for Sandro Tonali. Moreover, it was reported as part of the story that the Rossoneri management would be willing to accept a bid of €55m, which understandably drew some chuckles from Milan fans.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has commented on the market indiscretion regarding a potential move to the Gunners for Tonali and the idea that they have already met the Rossoneri management to talk about it.

The paper claims that the story appears to be wide at the mark, as denials have arrived from Casa Milan regarding the rumour that is circulating.
