AS: Correa will not be joining AC Milan this summer

By Anthony Torgrude -

After an entire mercato long debacle between Milan and Atletico for Angel Correa, the move has fallen through. Reports in Spain have the details.

According to AS in Spain, the player’s will is being ignored and will stay in the Spanish capital. Milan refused to meet the demands of Atletico Madrid, which is reported to be €45m.

Reports all summer from multiple sources, have said the Rossoneri will not go above €40m, as cited on CalcioMercato via Gazzetta Sportiva.

After a disappointing match week one, Milan are contemplating a switch back to last season’s 4-3-3 formation. This has prompted the search for a Left-winger, as opposed to a Support striker.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio is claiming (cited by MilanNews.it) the club are back in for an old Leonardo target, Everton. The Brazilian player is versatile and capable of playing on both the left-wing, and as a Support striker. He could be the player to unlock Milan’s offence.
