Giovanni Simeone has been one of the most prolific strikers in Serie A this season and that has resulted in some interest on the market. In fact, Milan are one of the teams interested, a report claims.
The 26-year-old left Cagliari ahead of this season to join Hellas Verona on an initial loan deal. It has turned out to be a great move both for him and the Bentegodi side, who now intend to cash in on their investment.
According to the Spanish outlet AS, Verona will pay €12m to redeem Simeone from Cagliari and they intend to immediately put him up for sale. And who can blame them, given that the likes of Villarreal, Valencia, Seville, Newcastle, Napoli and Milan are interested.
Simeone is fourth in the top goalscorers chart (Serie A) with 16 goals, 11 goals short of Ciro Immobile in first place. He has more assists than any of the players ahead of him, though, currently at 5 of them. In short, he knows how to be prolific and contribute in front of the goal.
